A White House Valentine, published on social media this year, expresses a sort of love.

But not for a paramour, it's love for a country, for secure borders and safety for Americans.

It represents the dedication of the administration of President Donald Trump to national security:

It says:

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Come here illegally
And we'll deport you

It's a pink image with headshots of Trump and border czar Tom Homan.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday that 53 Venezuelan illegal immigrants were sent to Guantanamo Bay, a U.S. military detention facility in Cuba that houses terrorists and other serious criminals, mostly from other countries.

The Times thinks the story is a scoop because the prisoners are being guarded by members of the U.S. military, while the government under President Donald Trump has said that civilian ICE agents and other personnel are doing that job.

"The civilian law enforcement role of immigration detention is being essentially militarized," the Times claimed.

“This is the first time we’ve seen the government send people from U.S. soil to an overseas camp, and it’s been unclear exactly what role the military is playing,” Lee Gelernt, an American Civil Liberties Union immigrant rights lawyer, said. “All of this potentially raises legal issues we’ve never seen before.”

"High-threat" illegal immigrants

No doubt the ACLU is salivating at the idea of challenging the administration's actions in court.

The administration confirmed that the Venezuelans--"violent gang members and other high-threat illegal aliens"--are being held at Guantanamo.

That's all it's saying for now.

As far as what the American people see, it's an administration that is doing what it said it would do--getting criminal illegal immigrants off the streets and out of the country.

Noem posts photos

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted photos of some detainees as they boarded planes for Guantanamo.

"President @realdonaldtrump has been very clear: Guantanamo Bay will hold the worst of the worst. That starts today," she wrote.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) posted back on February 4 that flights to Guantanamo had begun.

"Flights to Guantanamo Bay have begun. The worst of the worst have no place in our homeland," it captioned a video showing shackled detainees boarding planes.

Other than the photos, the administration is being tight-lipped about who was sent there, at least for now. But it's clear that Trump has gotten serious about criminal migrants and getting them away from any Americans they could potentially harm.

President Trump's EPA chief, Lee Zeldin, has pledged to reclaim $20 billion in taxpayer funding that was "tossed off the Titanic" by the Biden administration at the 11th hour.

In a video on X, Zeldin accused the Biden administration of a hidden scheme to funnel billions to a private bank before President Trump's inauguration.

“Shockingly, roughly 20 billion of your tax dollars were parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA,” Zeldin said. “This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history, and it was purposefully designed to obligate all of the money in a rush job with reduced oversight.”

Biden caught tossing "billions"

President Biden's climate law, the Inflation Reduction Act, allocated $20 billion for a program called the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, also known as Biden's "Green Bank."

In December, a hidden camera recording made by Project Veritas showed a Biden EPA official boasting about a scramble to distribute climate spending, which the person compared to tossing "gold bars" off the Titanic.

"An extremely disturbing video circulated two months ago featuring a Biden EPA political appointee talking about how they were tossing gold bars off the Titanic, rushing to get billions of your tax dollars out the door before Inauguration Day,” Zeldin said.

Zeldin alleged the funding was "parked" at a private bank so that it could be spent by left-wing nonprofits with minimal oversight.

The criticism from Zeldin isn't necessarily new - Republicans have repeatedly blasted Biden's green bank as a slush fund for left-wing special interests.

Zeldin noted that just eight organizations are in control of the $20 billion, with nearly $7 billion going to a single organization, the Climate United Fund.

"How do these organizations decide how to allocate funding? How much money have they given out so far and to whom? Are there any former Biden EPA staffers who are now working at these entities?" Zeldin asked.

Green slush fund

Zeldin said he will terminate the EPA's contract with the bank, and he said the EPA is in contact with the Inspector General and the Justice Department.

"Let me make one thing abundantly clear: At this point, there is zero reason to suspect any wrongdoing by the bank,” Zeldin said.

Zeldin's push is part of a wider Trump administration effort to end taxpayer-funded largesse towards left-wing projects and non-governmental organizations (NGO).

“The days of irresponsibly shoveling boatloads of cash to far-left activist groups in the name of environmental justice and climate equity are over,” Zeldin said. "The American public deserves a more transparent and accountable government than what transpired these past four years.”

Congress has begun working on a plan that would ban flying flags other than Old Glory on public buildings.

A proposal has been made by Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-Tenn., called the One Flag For All Act, after the now-gone administration of Joe Biden prominently featured the leftist ideology-advancing LGBT emblem on the White House in a place where the Stars and Stripes normally reigns.

A report in the Washington Examiner said the congressional action comes on the heels of President Donald Trump's "One Flag Policy" that instructs the State Department to ban flags representing Black Lives Matter, LGBT pride, or any other emblems of leftist ideologies from flying over U.S. government buildings anywhere in the world.

That is an executive order that could be reversed by a future leftist occupant of the Oval Office. The congressional action would embed the standard into the federal law, which is more difficult to change.

The report explained, "Harshbarger's bill, also supported by Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., in the Senate, has a higher probability of becoming law now that Trump is in the White House. The bill was not taken up for a vote during the 118th Congress, but the policy was tucked into appropriations legislation in March 2024 for State Department facilities."

The report Harshbarger's legislation is broader, and covers all federal buildings, banning most flags with exceptions for the National League of Families POW/MIA flag, member of Congress's state flags, flags representing a branch of the armed forces, and flags representing a visiting diplomat's or representative's nation.

Trump, during his first term, had declined requests from various embassies to prioritize the LGBT flag over the American flag, but Joe Biden promptly allowed those promotions to be done at taxpayer expense.

"The Left is never going to stop at anything to do what they think is right," Harshbarger said. "So if you get this codified into legislation, this bill will keep — the only thing you can fly on things like federal public buildings will be the American flag."

She continued, "This flag represents our great nation's core values of liberty, freedom, and patriotism, and it's a symbol that everyone understands and they're proud — if you're an American, you should be proud when you see that flag."

Nearly two dozen other representatives already have co-sponsored the plan.

Biden had started promoting the LGBT flag over Old Glory almost as soon as he got into the White House. He boasted how "transgender Americans make our Nation more prosperous, vibrant, and strong."

Kamala Harris joined in:

Biden, in fact, tried multiple times to simply redefine the word "sex" in existing non-discrimination laws to make it mean "gender identity" or "gender preference" to impose his pro-transgender beliefs. His claim was that lawmakers back in the 1960s and 1979s when many nondiscrimination requirements were created, specifically intended to include transgender protections under their idea of equal treatment for the sexes.

According to the science, being male or female is embedded in the human body down to the DNA level, and does not change.

Trump, on taking office, recognized that, stating that the federal government's recognition now will be of two sexes, male and female.

There is, in fact, a "constitutional crisis" in America.

That's according to the White House.

There, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained, however, that it's not what the Democrats have been identifying in their use of their newest talking point with which they are slamming President Donald Trump.

It's leftist and activist judges, who no longer are "honest arbiters of the law."

She explained, "The real constitutional crisis is taking place within our judicial branch where district court judges in liberal districts across the country are abusing their power to unilaterally block President Trump's basic executive authority.

"We believe these judges are acting as judicial activists rather than honest arbiters of the law, and they have issued at least 12 injunctions against this administration in the past 14 days, often without citing any evidence or grounds for their lawsuits. This is part of a larger concerted effort by Democrat activists and nothing more than a continuation of the weaponization of justice against President Trump."

She continued, "Quick news flash to these liberal judges who are supporting their obstructionist efforts: 77 million Americans voted to elect this president and each injunction is an abuse of the rule of law and an attempt to thwart the will of the people. As the president clearly stated in the Oval Office yesterday, we will comply with the law and the courts but we will also continue to seek every legal remedy to ultimately overturn these radical injunctions and ensure President Trump's policies can be enacted."

While Democrats with a nearly unanimous voice have claimed President Trump has created the crisis by taking action to clean up the government, restore its position among nations around the world, eliminate fraud and waste, and support Americans, he has actually taken actions that literally are within the rights of the nation's chief executive.

Not even all Democrats now are submitting to the partyspeak, either.

It is Sen. John Fetterman, a Pennsylvania Democrat, who said in an interview "it's just a lot of noise"

That "noise" has included a stunning five dozen lawsuits already filed against the Trump administration. Constitutional experts say that most of them may be given brief life by activist judges, but they ultimately are expected to die at the appellate level.

WND reported this week that the wild claims are being triggered by the Department of Government Efficiency, led by billionaire Elon Musk, which already has moved to cut thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in spending.

That has triggered Democrats, whose favorite constituencies sometimes are losing their funding. They now are calling it a "constitutional crisis."

Trump mocked the claims, assuring listeners that he has no plans to ignore court orders regarding his executive decisions: That he'll make the decisions, then appeal adverse decisions by local judges and get those overturned on appeal.

After all, he said it is his practice to follow court orders. Unlike Joe Biden, who openly boasted of defying a Supreme Court ruling he could not transfer student loan debt from the borrowers to innocent taxpayers, and then doing so.

The Washington Examiner reported Trump said, on the topic of the court orders delaying his agenda, "I always abide by the courts, and then I'll have to appeal it."

The problem he cited, however, is that the lower court judges are slowing down the process and that "gives crooked people more time to cover up the books. You know if a person's crooked and they get caught other people see that, and all of a sudden, it becomes harder later on."

He cited Paul Engelmayer, a judge who has temporarily foiled DOGE's access to Treasury Department information.

Fox News reported that contributor, and constitutional expert, Jonathan Turley "was left bewildered after a federal judge extended a temporary restraining order Monday blocking the Trump administration's buyout offer to federal employees." He explained that as being "perfectly within the wheelhouse of the president."

President Donald Trump has sent dismissal notices to the remaining U.S. attorneys who were appointed by Joe Biden during his tenure in the White house.

Reports confirmed emails were sent by the White House deputy director for the office of presidential personnel telling the recipients, "At the direction of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as U.S. attorney is terminated, effective immediately."

A website for the Department of Justice had listed just recently as many as two dozen officials appointed by Biden who had remained in their posts.

Typically during a changeover of administrations the incoming president asks for resignations.

Newsweek reported the DOJ had not commented on the turnover in staffing. But just weeks ago, Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove instructed the officials in the Washington, D.C., office to dismiss all the prosecutors who had been involved in the January 6 cases.

One immediate response that was noted came from Erek Barron, the U.S. attorney in Maryland, who wrote to staff members, "As many of you may know by now, my time with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland has come to an end. It has been an honor to lead such a talented and dedicated team."

President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, run by Elon Musk, has uncovered stunningly wasteful and offensive spending by the federal government, and has been trying to cut that off, even clawing back funding at times.

But a new statement from Musk, on social media, is pushing the outrage to a whole new level, pointing out that the government paid $9 million in a contract for "Active Social Engineering Defense (ASED) Large Scale Social Deception (LSD)."

It is the Liberty Daily that promptly raised questions about the massive expenditure, and its reason:

"Many of the proposed Community Notes cite references to programs coordinated by Reuters that focus on fighting 'disinformation' and inappropriate social engineering. But just because they claim their motives are positive doesn't change the fact that they've participated in spreading disinformation in the name of 'stopping' disinformation. This has been demonstrated clearly by the push to promote ineffective and dangerous COVID jabs. Conspicuously, the contract was for 2018 (before COVID) through 2022 (peak injection time). Why did they have a program set up to fight COVID disinformation before COVID was known to exist? Why were they tasked with social engineering and 'large scale social deception' by DARPA? What will DOGE and the Trump administration do about this?"

Musk had referenced a posting from Mario Nawful, who said, "DOGE investigations reveal mysterious Defense Department payments to Reuters for 'large scale social deception' project between 2018-2022. While DARPA claims it was for cyber defense, questions swirl about why a news agency received millions for 'social engineering.' The revelation comes as other media outlets face scrutiny over federal funding. Source: USASpendingGov,"

The Reuters referenced is the parent company of the Reuters news agency.

The Daily Mail reported DOGE found the Department of Defense awarded Thomson Reuters Special Services the $9.15 million contract in September 2018.

"The contract was filed under the Pentagon's 'Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services' and 'Research and Development' programs. And a pro-Trump incubator and investing consultant claims the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) says the contract to TRSS was for cyber defense," the report explained.

Trump, on social media, said, "Looks like Radical Left Reuters was paid $9,000,000 by the Department of Defense to study 'large scale social deception.' GIVE BACK THE MONEY, NOW!"

It noted, "On the government website that tracks and publishes contracts the federal agencies award to private companies, the $9 million contract for TRSS is listed on the purchase order as being for 'Active Social Engineering Defense (ASED) Large Scale Social Deception (LSD).'"

The reported noted on the contract was a statement that some funding provided in 2020 and beyond was related to COVID-19.

Government payments to other news organizations also have been identified, and criticized.

For example, Politico got $8 million in payments from the now-defunct U.S. Agency for International Development in return for access to premium services.

Two Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have been removed after a lackluster response to President Donald Trump's edict for mass deportations of illegal immigrants, the New York Post reported. Russel Hott and Peter Berg were demoted from their top spots in ICE enforcement and reassigned.

Trump promised to expel millions of illegal aliens, especially those with criminal records. He has leaned heavily on ICE to do its job of conducting arrests, deportations, and raids.

Unfortunately, Hott and Berg were not up to the task and were removed from the Enforcement and Removal Operations division. Hott was sent to a Washington field office, while Berg was sent to one in Minnesota.

"ICE needs a culture of accountability that it has been starved of for the past four years," a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement. It's clear Trump is not letting any bureaucrats get in the way of fulfilling his most important campaign promise.

A New Resolve

For too long, ICE has been hamstrung by leftist regimes that benefit from unchecked illegal immigration. With Trump's election and his choice of Tom Homan as border czar, it's clear that there is a new resolve to secure America's borders.

Homan acknowledged that ICE has tripled its migrant arrests, but he expects much more from the organization. "If you look at the rest of interior enforcement, it’s about three times higher than it was a year ago today," Homan said.

"Three times higher is good, but I’m not satisfied," he added. "There are more criminal aliens that need to be arrested, hundreds of thousands," Homan went on.

“Sanctuary cities are putting roadblocks up," Homan said of the Democrat strongholds that refuse to enforce immigration law. "We’ve got leaks," he further charged.

"So we need to increase the arrests of illegal aliens, especially those with criminal convictions. So we’re going to continue," Homan promised. ICE arrests in major cities have already yielded results in finding those accused of sex crimes against children, rape, drug offenses, and gun charges.

Getting Serious

Plucking Hott and Berg from their leadership positions at ICE was just the beginning. Tom Lyons, who was previously heading ICE's Boston field office, will take over the top position at the Enforcement and Removal Operations department.

While working as the assistant director of field operations, Lyons recommended reopening the ICE office at Rikers Island prison. The office has been shuttered for almost a decade, but Lyons believes it makes sense to have a presence at the New York facility.

"Reestablishing the [US Immigration and Customs Enforcement] unit at Rikers would allow [En,orcement and Removal Operations] NYC officers to take direct custody of foreign-born criminal offenders without the need to re-apprehend these criminals at large in the community," Lyons pointed out. Surprisingly, New York City Mayor Eric Adams agreed with the measure, a separate Post report noted.

"He would like us to [reopen the ICE office], but he said he’s got to talk to his legal staff about what’s the possibility of him doing that through executive order," Homan said after speaking with Adams. This is significant for a migrant-friendly Demorat-run city.

American cities have been inundated with illegal immigrants and all of the problems that come with them. Trump is fulfilling his promise to the American people to take care of the problem, even if that means demoting high-ranking officials.

Some officials considering the idea of a plan that would "delete entire agencies," as the government transitions to a new administration.

This idea comes from tech billionaire and Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk, who made the recent comments as part of his overarching mission to push toward government that is cost and efficiency-driven, as The Associated Press reported.

The technology tycoon reportedly wants to leave a legacy that will last beyond the term of the current president.

Musk'sComments.

"I think we do need to delete entire agencies, as opposed to leave part of them behind. ... It's kind of like leaving a weed," Musk said.

The new head of the Department on Government Efficiency went on to say that there has to be systemic change if this is to be more than just a passing phase in government.

"If you don't remove the roots of the weed, then it's easy for the weed to grow back," Musk said.

"But if you remove the roots of the weed — it doesn't stop weeds from ever going back, but it makes it harder."

More Context

While participating in a discussion moderated by Omar Sultan Al Olama, the UAE’s minister of artificial intelligence, Musk—who also created SpaceX and owns the social media platform X—made the remarks while speaking to an audience at Dubai’s annual World Governments Summit via video link.

"So we have to really delete entire agencies, many of them," Musk said.

"And that's not to say there won't be an increase over time of bureaucracy in some new administration, but it will be from a much lower baseline. So certainly it's a step in the right direction."

"Nothing's forever," he added, "but I think we can strengthen the foundations of the United States substantially."

Musk's Background

Trump named the South African-born engineer and internet entrepreneur a "special government employee" and head of the Department of Federal Efficiency.

Musk stated on Thursday that his efforts to streamline government and cut red tape may cut the federal budget by $1 trillion by 2026, which would significantly decrease the national debt.

Musk attacked the budget line by line for the U.S. Agency for International Development and in the process moved his agenda forward by furloughing most workers and withholding financing internationally.

In early February, the Trump administration announced that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) would be disbanding as an independent agency and relocating to the State Department, a move that would necessitate the approval of Congress.

Melania Trump has been out of the picture in recent days as her husband shakes up Washington D.C. and world politics.

As reported by Daily Mail, the First Lady has not been seen publicly since she toured the devastation of natural disasters in California and North Carolina on January 24.

Melania "missing"

The First Lady received widespread media attention with her sharp Inauguration Day outfit, followed by an equally unconventional White House portrait.

The stark, black-and-white image emphasized that Melania is returning to her role with more confidence than she had previously, and she has made no secret of her wishes to do things on her own terms.

"I will be in the White House. When I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach," she told Fox News in early January.

After stealing the show at her husband's historic second inauguration, Melania has receded from view - as the president pursues a dramatic overhaul of the federal government at breakneck speed, sending the liberal media into a frenzy.

The First Lady did not join the president at the Super Bowl - and while football may not be to her taste, the glamorous Slovenian-born model has also failed to grace state engagements like Trump's meetings with the King of Jordan, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Melania does it her way

Meanwhile, Melania has continued to maintain a minimal social media profile.  She made her third post on her official X account on Wednesday, announcing the return of White House tours.

"The President and I are excited to reopen the White House to those interested in the extraordinary story of this iconic and beautiful landmark. There is much to learn about the American Presidency, the First Families who have lived here, and our Nation’s rich history from a firsthand experience at the White House. This opportunity is unique among nations around the globe—a tradition we are honored to continue for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year," she wrote.

With Melania garnering more public fascination than ever before - she released a best-selling memoir last year and has an Amazon documentary in production - the famously elusive First Lady is in no rush to make a spectacle of herself.

Melania's more selective approach to her role stands in stark contrast to her predecessor Jill Biden, who was frequently in the political spotlight while supporting her cognitively impaired husband. While some may criticize Melania's style, others, like her photographer Regine Mahaux, have praised her "soft power."

“She’s always in the right place,” Mahaux told Hello! “She’s always behind her husband. He’s in the light; she doesn’t need the light. She’s a very good number two. It’s always her husband first, and I like that; she has strong family values, to be a good wife and to make sure they’re happy.”
