For decades the AP stylebook, promoted widely to the world's news industry, had been advertised as a standard go-to source for spelling, punctuation, and appropriate references to a wide range of issues.

Then, a few years ago, it turned left, insisting that "they" was grammatically correct for a single person, that "a person's sex and gender are usually assigned at birth by parents or attendants" and that can be "inaccurate."

It warns against writing things that could "cause feelings of gender dysphoria" to resurface.

On the topic of the Second Amendment, it insists on calling semiautomatic rifles "assault weapons," even though that term already was used for "fully automatic weapons used by the military."

It insults those who don't accept the propaganda about global warming line for line as being "doubters."

The New York Post once reported that its "progressive bias is out of control."

The report explained, "While it may have started out as an objective source, as with so much of the media it serves, the Stylebook has long since discarded fairness for a liberal bias that betrays the goal of its authors and tilts the playing field against conservatives."

And now we're learning that dispute is at least a part of President Donald Trump's battle with the legacy wire service.

The AP's refusal to go along with Trump's by-the-book name change of the Gulf of America, from the former Gulf of Mexico, prompted the White House to limit AP access to some Oval Office and Air Force One events.

The wire service immediately complained of First Amendment violations but while the First Amendment protects what it writes, and still does, there's nothing in the First Amendment specifically giving the AP access to those presidential locations.

Taylor Budowich, deputy White House chief of staff, said, "This isn't just about the Gulf of America. This is about AP weaponizing language through their stylebook to push a partisan worldview in contrast with the traditional and deeply held beliefs of many Americans and many people around the world."

According to a report at RedState, the White House moves have "a lot to do with how they've (AP) conveniently adjusted their stylebook over the years to accommodate leftist dogma."

"By spotlighting AP, Trump is amplifying Republican and conservative criticisms that the AP Stylebook, a first reference for most U.S. news organizations, shapes political dialogue by favoring liberal words and phrases concerning gender, immigration, race, and law enforcement."

The report noted AP may resort to courts to force "a change back to the status quo at least as far as press access goes."

But the report explained, "In the meantime, Trump and his team are shining a mega-spotlight on a big problem with the media outlet over the fact that they really aren't neutral observers and recounters of current (and past) events and haven't been for quite some time."

Tom Homan, the border czar for President Donald Trump, gave an ominous warning to drug cartels in America and other nations Sunday, saying the U.S. would "wipe them off the a face of the Earth."

"We'll bring the weight of the world on them," Homan said on "Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo" on the Fox News Channel.

"President Trump will wipe them off the face of the Earth by the time he's done."

"Look, the drug cartels are like a a Fortune 500 company. Some of these drug cartels, they're operating in 43 nations, 43 different countries around the globe.

"They used to be back in my day when I was an agent, they were responsible for smuggling drugs into the United States, into our major cities and just distributed by local gangs. Now they have the footprint in every major city in this nation. They have taken over the distribution channels within the United States.

"They have a strong foothold here, and that's why we're concentrating on drug cartels, we're concentrating on TDA, Tren de Aragua. I'm not going to be happy until every single one of Tren de Aragua is out of this country. They need to be eradicated along with MS-13.

"This is why President Trump, again, he proves every day why he's the greatest president in my lifetime. He designated them terrorist organizations. Why did he do that? Because they've killed more American than every terrorist organization in the world combined. They're killed thousands of journalists and law enforcement in Mexico, they're killed thousands of citizens.

"They're acting like a terrorist organization. They've killed more Americans than any terrorist organization, so President Trump did the right thing. Designate them terrorists organizations. We'll bring the weight of the world on them. President Trump will wipe them off the face of the Earth by the time he's done.

Bartiromo asked if that designation of "terrorist organizations" is a key factor in getting tougher on the cartels. Homan replied: "Absolutely."

"Look what the president's done in just the first month of him being in office. Illegal crossings on the border are down 90%. 90% in just a matter of a couple weeks. And what does that that mean?"

"It means … less people are dying crossing the border. Less Americans are dying from fentanyl overdoses. Less women and children are being sex-trafficked across that border, less terrorists are getting in.

"President Trump has taken incredible action on the border. We're already at a high state of security at the southern border. We're arresting twice as many illegal alien criminals that Biden did.

"We're on lightning speed to doing what the president promised the American people he would do."

Bartiromo asked Homan about U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., conducting webinars to explain to illegal immigrants how to evade arrests by federal officials.

AOC had said of Homan: "Maybe he can learn to to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start."

Homan responded: "I had to educate her during congressional testimony that entering the country illegally is a crime. So, whatever. What she needs to do is read the statutes enacted by Congress. Title VIII United States code 1324, United States — title VIII United States code 1324 and 25, that's what she needs to read. Because it's illegal to enter this country. It's a crime to enter this country illegally. Not only that, when you harbor and conceal and impede law enforcement, that's a felony. So what she's doing, she says she's educating people of their constitutional rights. …

"What she's really doing, you and I and the rest of the country know, she's trying to teach them how to evade law enforcement. Now I just said right out of the gate we're concentrating on public safety threats, national security threats. So she's educating those in the country illegally with a significant criminal conviction, public safety threat, don't open your door, don't talk to ICE, here's how you evade law enforcement.

"Let's hope she's not educating the next person who gets out and murders a young college student in Georgia. I mean these are bad people we're looking for. So she can call it education all she wants, but we all know it's about evading law enforcement.

"These people have been ordered removed, the people we're looking for now have final orders. They're criminals. They're in the country illegally. A judge has ordered them removed. They've become a fugitive and these are the folks she's helping? So I've asked the Department of Justice to look at this. "

It's true that President Donald Trump's new Department of Government Efficiency and its chief, Elon Musk, have been given great authority.

Under the constitutional powers of the executive branch, they are looking for waste, fraud and inappropriate spending by the federal government and shutting it down.

They're even trying to claw back some distributions that are out of line.

But one critic and opponent of the efforts to save American taxpayers' money, Rep. Melanie Stansbury, D-N.M., has a strangely wild assumption about the power of DOGE.

She thinks that have auditors and economic inspectors in the offices of the Environmental Protection Agency will mean that Americans will have to start boiling their water.

The Whatfinger website posted a number of comments responding, including that, "Congress surely needs to include a basic intelligence screening, when its members believe islands might capsize."

Stansbury said, "I don't think there is anyone in America that wants to wake up tomorrow and find out that they have to boil their water because the EPA's workforce has been escorted out of the building," she said.

She said that's a result of DOGE "already here."

She said she is trying to "make sure that doesn't happen."

Actually, local water systems across the nation need to meet state water quality standards and are tested regularly by their operators.

And she claimed DOGE already has "hacked" the EPA system, but actually, under DOGE authority from the White House, they would be given access.

She also complained workers were told their jobs were not secure and they could be escorted out of the building, which, in fact, already has been happening under DOGE campaigns to reduce spending, eliminate fraud and corruption and save tax money.

In fact, there even have been White House orders to review what jobs are being done, and whether those are required by law, in light of the fact federal agencies many times have expanded their authority beyond what their original assignment had been.

Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., joined Stansbury, advocating for more government spending on the same programs. He called himself a latter-day Paul Revere.

While President Donald Trump is known for his business savvy and his ability to turn deals into pure gold, his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, is just as impressive in that realm.

According to the New York Post, the first lady inked a major deal with e-commerce giant Amazon for a documentary about her life.

The deal is worth a staggering $40 million, and Melania Trump will reportedly walk away with about $28 million herself.

In addition to landing the massive deal, the first lady has also reportedly been shopping sponsorship deals for the film.

What's happening?

According to reports, Melania Trump also made a deal with wealthy CEOs at her husband's inauguration party regarding being mentioned at the end of the film.

The New York Post reported:

The first lady also reportedly told blue-chip CEOs who attended her husband’s inauguration on Jan. 20 that they would need to pony up at least $10 million in exchange for being acknowledged at the end of the film’s credits.

The CEOs who ponied up for the mention in the credits would also reportedly get a special access invitation to the premier of the documentary upon its release.

Notably, mention of the finalization of the mega-deal came in the wake of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos visiting President Trump and his wife at Mar-a-Lago, at the same time other tech billionaires and leaders seemed to begin to cozy up to the new administration.

The Post added:

According to the Journal, the first lady was keen on persuading Bezos, the Amazon founder and Washington Post owner who historically has had a fraught relationship with the president, to buy the rights to the documentary.

Bezos not only apparently agreed to pick up the documentary, but also eventually donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration fund.

Social media reacts

Fans of the first lady were thrilled to hear about the lucrative deal, with many praising her business acumen and others excited for it to be released.

"I hope they are respectful to her! We will be watching!" one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Liberal heads explode!!!"

President Donald Trump and his administration have made it clear that DEI programs are not welcomed on their watch, and they've already made tremendous headway in shutting a lot of that silliness down across several federal agencies.

According to Breitbart, the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) Office for Civil Rights, under President Trump's direction, notified all 50 states that state education departments shall remove such programs, or else.

The consequences could include being cut off from federal funding. The states have been given two weeks to comply with the order.

DOE’s Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor penned the letter to all 50 state education agencies.

What did it say?

Trainor held nothing back in the letter, spelling out the Trump administration's stance on the state of DEI programs.

"The Department will no longer tolerate the overt and covert racial discrimination that has become widespread in this Nation’s educational institutions," Trainor wrote.

He added, "The law is clear: treating students differently on the basis of race to achieve nebulous goals such as diversity, racial balancing, social justice, or equity is illegal under controlling Supreme Court precedent."

Trainor added a hard deadline for states to comply with the letter's instructions, or else face the prospect of losing federal funding.

"The Department intends to take appropriate measures to assess compliance with the applicable statutes and regulations based on the understanding embodied in this letter beginning no later than 14 days from today’s date, including anti-discrimination requirements that are a condition of receiving federal funding."

It concluded with, "Institutions that fail to comply with federal civil rights law may, consistent with applicable law, face potential loss of federal funding."

DOGE announced it

Elon Musk's DOGE unit posted information about the developing situation and posted a link to the letter.

One X user wrote, "This needs to include our Post-Modern Maoist reeducation camps, generously referred to as colleges and universities -- student debt enabling criminal enterprises."

Another X user added, "Nice 14 days for all 50 states to terminate and remove all DEI programming in all public schools ,if they don’t they will lose all federal funding!"

Understandably, Elon Musk has been in the news more so than normal over the past few months as his work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and President Donald Trump's administration continues to send shockwaves through Washington D.C.

And while he probably doesn't mind the media coverage for that part of his life, a bombshell report over the weekend revealed that a conservative influencer admitted that she had a fling with Musk and actually delivered his child five months ago.

According to the New York Post, Conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair, in what was described as a "shocking" public post on social media, revealed that she gave birth to what would be Musk's 13th child.

Reporters have reached out to Musk for comment, but haven't received anything back at this point.

What's going on?

St. Clair shocked the social media world with her announcement, which she made on her X account.

Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father," she wrote.

She added, "I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause."

Though it's unlikely to be honored, St. Clair made a request to the media to avoid "invasive reporting" and asked that the child's privacy be respected at this time.

"I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting," she wrote.

Social media reaction

Needless to say, her post sparked a firestorm of feedback across social media.

"The whole world is so lucky you’ve brought life into the world. And the whole world has got you and your family’s back," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "God bless you and your family. Would be nice if legacy media did actual reporting on important issues instead of intruding on peoples’ personal lives and seemingly intentionally putting children in danger. Unfortunate we live in a world where that’s the reality. Keep fighting."

It'll be interesting to see if the media honors the request.

For years, American workers have been told they just need to "learn to code," "work harder," or "accept the realities of globalization." Meanwhile, their jobs have been quietly shipped overseas or handed to an army of imported workers on visas about which most Americans have never even heard.

This is not just a case of bad trade deals or automation replacing human workers. It is something much bigger, more coordinated, and, frankly, more infuriating. This is the Immigration Industrial Complex, a system where corporate America, immigration law firms, and lobbying groups work together to ensure a never-ending supply of cheap labor, all while American workers are pushed aside.

If you are wondering why wages have been stagnant for decades, why manufacturing has collapsed, or why tech companies keep firing Americans while bringing in thousands of foreign workers, you are not alone. The answer lies in a massive web of policies, visas, and outsourcing contracts that prioritize profits over people.

Let's break it down.

Step One: Ship jobs overseas and call It 'Efficiency'

Since 2001, nearly four million American jobs have vanished thanks to our ever-growing trade deficit with China. At the same time, India has become the go-to destination for outsourcing white-collar jobs in tech, finance, and customer service.

Here are the facts:

  • Three hundred thousand American jobs are offshored every year.
  • Sixty-six percent of U.S. companies outsource at least one department.
  • The IT outsourcing industry alone is expected to reach over eight hundred billion dollars by 2029.

It is a well-oiled machine. First, big corporations move jobs to low-wage countries where labor laws are almost non-existent. Then, they pass the savings to shareholders while leaving former American employees with a "we appreciate your contributions" severance email.

But wait, it gets worse.

Step Two: Import workers to undercut American wages

For the jobs that cannot be outsourced, companies have found a workaround: import the workers instead. This is where the Immigration Industrial Complex swings into full gear.

Through visa programs like H-1B, L-1, OPT, and the lesser-known PERM process, companies can legally skip over qualified American workers and bring in foreign replacements who will work for less.

In 2022, out of the thirty million immigrant workers in the U.S., over twenty-two million were here legally. That means nearly three-quarters of foreign workers are brought in "by the book," not by sneaking across the border, but through an immigration system that actively prioritizes them over Americans.

And if you thought this flood of foreign workers was slowing down, think again. Between seventy-five and eighty percent of America's annual population growth comes from immigrants and their U.S.-born children.

"In other words, even if illegal immigration ended tomorrow, corporate America would still have an endless pipeline of foreign labor to keep wages down and job opportunities scarce.

Step Three: The legal loophole nobody talks about

Let's talk about PERM, the employment-based green card process that has turned into a legalized job-theft operation.

Considered by some royal watchers to be the modern reincarnation of Wallis Simpson, Meghan Markle, also known as the Duchess of Sussex, has divided public opinion even before she married Britain's Prince Harry.

Now adding to Markle's increasingly polarizing persona is a recent analysis of video footage that reveals the tensions her presence caused during a memorable royal walkabout that followed the death of Queen Elizabeth II back in 2022, as the Daily Mail details.

Walkabout exposes rift

Not long after the well-loved monarch passed and the U.K. entered its period of mourning, several of the younger members of the royal family, including Prince William, Princess Catherine, Harry and Meghan, followed a time-honored tradition meant to acknowledge the public's outpouring of respect.

The quartet that included two famously estranged brothers appeared on the grounds of Windsor Castle to view the seemingly countless floral tributes left in memory of the Queen, with both accompanied by their respective wives.

Though the tensions among the for had long been the subject of media speculation, the footage taken that day lays bare just how awkward the outing truly was and how serious the royal rift remained.

Etiquette breach exacerbates strain

Reportedly later recalled by Catherine as “one of the hardest things she'd ever had to do,” Markle's apparent disregard for royal protocol made the experience all the more difficult.

According to royal rules, more senior royals such as William and Catherine as the future king and queen, are meant to walk ahead of junior family members such as Harry and Meghan.

However, analysis of the video footage of that day shows Markle seemingly attempting to plow ahead, prompting her husband to pull her back and slow his own gait in order to comply with accepted practice.

The entire scene was, according to many of Markle's critics, evidence of her ongoing refusal to fulfill her role within the family, with one commentator asserting, “Meghan just does not want to accept hierarchy” and another musing that she “should know protocol by now.”

“Meghan wouldn't accept not being the star,” an online observer added, echoing the sentiments of many of Markle's growing legions of detractors.

Markle's many missteps

Since deciding to abandon their lives as working royals back in 2020 and moving to California, Harry and Meghan seem to have jumped from one controversial venture to another, a list that includes a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, an explosive royal memoir titled Spare, a podcast called Archetypes, and a host of other endeavors that have yielded mixed results, at best.

After having announced the launch of a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard last March, Markle's hopes of becoming the new Martha Stewart seem to have stalled, with reports suggesting that she is feeling “upset and stressed” amid public backlash and difficulties securing trademark approvals for products said to include jam, honey, and household goods, as the New York Post reports.

Making matters worse, Markle's new Netflix series With Love, Meghan, set to debut on March 4, has already been panned by reviewers who lament, “It's all her, and all about her," and though it has been billed as involving stylish interpretations of food, drink, and entertaining tricks, those who have seen it reveal that there is little in the way of cooking, recipes, or practical advice on offer.

It now seems that, try as she might, Harry's wife may be permanently unable to overcome the past several years of self-inflicted reputational harm, and no amount of Hollywood public relations spin can change that fact.

Despite relentless challenges in the courts and in the media, Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is continuing its cost-cutting mission, notching significant achievements along the way.

As the Daily Mail reports, the official DOGE X account revealed that almost $2 billion in funds previously misplaced by Biden-era officials at the Department of Housing and Urban Development have been recovered, a scenario Musk blamed on gross mismanagement during the prior administration.

Misplaced funds retrieved, repurposed

In a post to X outlining the impressive development, DOGE officials explained, “These funds were earmarked for the administration of financial services, but were no longer needed.”

The fact that the funds were misplaced at all during the Biden years was, according to DOGE, a symptom of a “broken process.”

Pointing to greater efficiency that will now be possible, the post added, “@SecretaryTurner and @DOGE worked together to fix the issue and de-obligated the funds which are now available for other use by the Treasury.”

Referenced in the post was the new Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner, who was confirmed to the role earlier this month.

Turner takes the reins at HUD

Turner has already indicated his willingness to collaborate with DOGE to facilitate the transformation of the department he now leads, posting a video message on X last week announcing the creation of the task force together with DOGE.

The work, Turner said, will be “very detailed and deliberate about every dollar spend in serving trial, rural and urban communities across America.”

In keeping with President Donald Trump's commitment to streamlining every corner of the federal government, Turner noted in a press release that the group would be made up of HUD employees aiming to “examine how to best maximize the agency's budget and ensure all programs, processes and personnel are working together to advance the purpose of the department.”

An early win for the task force, as noted by Turner, was the task force's recovery of another $260 million in savings, though it was not immediately apparent where the money was found or what any related cuts might mean for HUD programming.

Adding to the potential efficiencies to be found within his agencies, reports suggest that significant layoffs of HUD staff may be on the cards, but no specifics on numbers have been released.

DOGE juggernaut keeps moving

In addition to the recovered funds at HUD, DOGE has touted significant wins elsewhere across the federal government, announcing he cancellation of dozens of contracts related to media, DEI, and consulting services at a range of agencies including the Transportation Department and the Department of Homeland Security, as Fox News noted.

Another prime target of DOGE's cost-cutting mission has been the Department of Education, in which more than $100 million in DEI training-related grants have already been canceled.

Given the impressive pace at which DOGE is finding and rooting out wasteful spending and misappropriated funds, it seems certain that Trump, Musk, and the team leading the charge to downsize the federal government are only just getting started.

The Justice Department has fired multiple immigration judges in a decision on Friday that came as a shock to many observers considering the Trump administration's ambitious deportation goals.

The firing announcement was confirmed on Friday by insiders who confirmed that the decision was made by the acting director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review at the Justice Department.

The decision ignited outrage from a judge's union which criticized the decision to conduct layoffs while the Trump administration is in the middle of deporting thousands of illegal immigrants.

Matt Biggs, the president of the IFPTE representing immigration judges wrote, "You have a president now who campaigned on immigration and removing people from the country on the one hand. And on the other hand, he’s actually firing the very judges that have to hear these cases and make those decisions. So, it makes no sense. It’s a head scratcher."

Clearly, the Trump administration has already determined that these judges are no longer necessary or are unfit to serve in their positions due to ideological reasons considering the new immigration policy that Trump will be implementing.

Total System Overhaul

The Trump administration is leaving no stone unturned and is overhauling the federal workforce at every level both to purge leftist ideologues and to cut down on the size of the federal government to reduce spending.

The Executive Office of Immigration Review has been especially hard hit by cuts as five significant executives have been let go since Trump was sworn into office last month.

In the case of the immigration judges who have been let go, it appears that the reason for their firing comes down to ideological reasons.

Judge Kerry Doyle, who was one of those judges fired by the Trump administration, posted to her LinkedIn that all of the judges who had been fired were appointed by former President Joe Biden.

Clearly, the Trump administration does not trust individuals appointed by the previous administration to appropriately review immigration litigation and asylum applications.

Judges appointed by the past regime are more likely to be lenient with illegal immigrants as reflected by the open borders policy of the past administration. The Trump administration likely viewed these judges as a liability, but there has been no confirmation of these allegations.

Immigration System Abuse

For years, economic immigrants have gained access "legally" to the United States by applying for asylum and disappearing into the country while their case awaited a review that would take years.

The Biden administration was more than happy to facilitate this "legal" exploit of our broken immigration system as there are literally millions of immigration cases in a backlog.

An overwhelming number of these applicants do not fit the conventional definition of asylum seeker as many of them are economic migrants coming from a variety of countries few of which are war-torn or even notably unstable.

With Trump in charge, this abuse of our immigration system will not be tolerated and many of those economic migrants awaiting a hearing will likely find their applications rejected and subject to immediate deportation in the coming months.
