It's one of the most famous events in all of the Bible, prominently featured in both the Old and New Testaments.
Passover broadcasts the message of rescuing people from the death penalty through the slaying of a lamb, whom Christians believe represents Jesus Christ, called the Lamb of God.
But as millions of believers across the globe commemorate the annual event this year, there are some intriguing aspects to the original Passover that many may have overlooked or never understood.
"The original event involving Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt is quite famous, but there are numerous hidden nuggets that are bursting with new life when they're understood at the Spirit level," says author Joe Kovacs, who examines Passover in depth in his latest best-seller, "Reaching God Speed: Unlocking the Secret broadcast Revealing the Mystery of Everything."
"We need to remember that Jesus only taught people in parables, and 'without a parable, He did not speak'" (Matthew 13:34 NKJV).
"That means everything is a parable, in addition to the actual historical event taking place."
Kovacs says one of the verses that people may read over quickly without giving it much thought is Exodus 12:30, which states:
"And there was a loud wailing throughout Egypt because there wasn't a house without someone dead" (CSB).
The author stresses while this physical event did happen thousands of years ago, this single sentence broadcasts an additional message for all time periods.
"The loud wailing throughout Egypt represents everyone's painful time here in the flesh," says Kovacs. "The word Egypt, which is 'Mizraim' in Hebrew, means what it pretty much sounds like in English: MISERY. We all experience a lot of misery, pain, anguish, and weeping in the darkness of the flesh in which we're currently held in captivity."
"The fact that the story mentions every house had someone dead is also saying something extremely important on the higher level of Godspeed. Because every single person in the physical world is already spiritually dead in the sight of God! Our house is our own body, and we all live in this 'body of death,' as the apostle Paul called it in Romans 7:24.
"We need to make our personal Exodus out of Egypt, out of this dark place of misery, out of our dead house, out of our dead physical body, out of our sinful self, and live forever with God."
Another verse that many people often overlook is Exodus 12:22, which states: "None of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning" (KJV).
"When our eyes and ears are opened to God's Spirit, understanding this on the parable level becomes quite simple," says Kovacs.
"Because our house is our own physical body, our literal daily dwelling place, this verse is telling us that we won't be exiting our body during this spiritual night time in which we dwell in the flesh. We will leave our house, our body of flesh, when the morning light, who is Jesus Himself, returns. Remember that Jesus calls Himself 'the bright and morning star' (Revelation 22:16 KJV). It is in the morning, when the light overcomes the darkness, that we exit our current house and become the 'children of light.' (1 Thessalonians 5:5 KJV)."
"This is why Exodus 12:10 says of the lamb itself, 'You must not leave any of it until morning.' (CSB) Because there won't be any of the flesh left when the morning comes! People's physical bodies will be completely transformed, finally reaching their eternally alive Spirit state once the morning light returns!"
Yet another hidden gem lies in Exodus 12:38, stating: "Many other people went up with them, and also large droves of livestock, both flocks and herds" (NIV).
Kovacs explains, "When we remember that God is often 'declaring the end from the beginning' (Isaiah 46:10 KJV), telling us the conclusion of the story right from the start, it becomes obvious what's being said because it deals with the very happy ending to mankind's story.
"Here's the translation: Many other people besides the Israelites also will be saved through the blood of the Passover and go up, as in being resurrected to eternal life. The mention of large numbers of livestock, flocks, and herds merely repeats this fact, since animals symbolize people in Scripture, as Jesus even called His own followers 'lambs' and 'sheep.' And 'large droves,' at the parable level of God speed, suggest numbers that are so enormous, they're hard to grasp.
"So when we open our eyes to see and ears to hear the additional messages the Spirit of God has embedded in Scripture, the Good News is even more sensational than we already thought!"

PALM BEACH, Florida – As the Trump administration continues to defend tariffs on products from other countries, one of the president's top advisers is sounding the alarm about a "far more important" economic threat to America.
The danger, according to Peter Navarro, the White House senior counselor for trade and manufacturing, is non-tariff cheating.
Navarro appeared on "Sunday Morning Futures" on the Fox News Channel, and told guest host Jackie DeAngelis: "The reality here is that institutionally, the international trade system is designed to cheat us.
"They have systematically higher tariffs on us, but more importantly, and far more importantly, it's the non-tariff cheating.
"It's the VAT taxes (value-added taxes), it's the currency manipulation, the dumping, the export subsidies, the fake standards that keep our agricultural products out and keep our cars out of Japan. It's all these things that foreign countries do that are designed explicitly to cheat us and are sanctioned by the World Trade Organization.
"So President Trump says no more, no mas. Ain't happening on his watch. And that's where we're headed, we're heading towards a strong America that makes things again."
Navarro indicated the situation is "not a negotiation."
"This is a national emergency based on a trade deficit that's gotten out of control because of cheating," he explained. "It's like every country around the world cheats us."
"But I want to just say to the world here, if you want to come and talk to us, don't say you want to lower the tariffs and be done with it. It's the non-tariff cheating.
"Stop manipulating your currency. Stop dumping stuff in. Europe, take your 19% VAT tax down to zero. Don't put these fake agricultural standards that keep out our pork and our dairy and our chickens.
"And Vietnam, don't dump shrimp into our markets and put the good people of Louisiana on our coast out of work. This is what people have to understand. It's the non-tariff cheating that matters the most, and when they want to talk to us, come talk to us about that."
"We're always willing to listen. That's what Donald Trump does best."
Navarro also stressed the importance of having the U.S. auto industry revitalized.
"What President Trump wants to do is turn Detroit back into Detroit, instead of having Detroit in Mexico now like they have it," he said.
"If we don't have a solid auto industry when we have problems in the world, we're gonna be speaking some other language. I mean if we didn't have the auto factories of Detroit during World War II, we'd be speaking German east of the Continental Divide, Japanese west.
"We won that war with our military might and we have to defend ourself. We have to defend our jobs … This whole idea that we can't be a manufacturing nation, the only reason we're not, Jackie, is that the world cheats us."
When asked about drops in the stock market last week in the wake of Trump's tariffs, Navarro said: "The smart strategy is not to panic, just stay in, because we are gonna have one of the biggest booms in the stock market that we've ever seen under the Trump policies.
"We will find a bottom in this market quickly. We will hit 50,000 on the Dow easily by the end of [Trump's] term."
Navarro also said Elon Musk is only looking after his own interests after the DOGE leader took a shot at him on X and seemed to break with the Trump administration on tariffs.
"Elon when he's in his DOGE lane is great, but we understand what's going on here," Navarro indicated.
"Elon sells cars. And he's in Texas, assembling cars that have big parts of that car from Mexico, China, batteries that come from Japan or China, the electronics come from Taiwan, and he's simply protecting his own interests as any business person would do. We're more concerned about Detroit building Cadillac with American engines. … There's no rift here."
President Donald Trump took a dramatic step toward fulfilling a key campaign promise last week when he implemented sweeping tariffs on a host of countries as a means to rectify massive trade deficits and increase revenue.
French President Emmanuel Macron was among the world leaders outraged by Trump's move, declaring that harsh retaliation was in order, a statement that prompted Ric Grenell, White House special envoy for special missions, to suggest that the U.S. halt loan guarantees that benefit France, as Breitbart reports.
According to Reuters, it was on Thursday that Macron called on companies in Europe to halt planned investments in America as a means of response to Trump's tariffs.
Speaking to a group of industry representatives from his own country, Macron stated, “Investments to come or investments announced in recent weeks should be suspended until things are clarified with the United States.”
The French president further declared Trump's tariff initiative to be “brutal and unfounded, and he vowed that the response would be “more powerful” than prior reactions to American tariffs on steel and aluminum.
Macron's reaction comes in the wake of an announcement made weeks ago by French shipping firm CMA CGM in which plans to invest $20 billion in America were announced and another made by French electrical equipment supplier Schneider Electric pledging an investment of $700 million in the U.S.
Notably, neither firm offered an immediate response to Macron's recommendation that such injections of capital be halted, according to Reuters.
During a Friday appearance on Greg Kelly Reports on Newsmax TV, Grenell wasted little time in responding to Macron's tough talk on Trump's tariffs.
Grenell stated that if Macron moves forward with urging a halt on European investments in America, the U.S. should stop guaranteeing loans made via the Export-Import Bank or the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
Such a move is justified, Grenell said, “if they're going to try to manipulate the tariff process so that they always have one up on us.”
Grenell stated, “Well, look, what President Macron is doing and what the French are doing and what some other countries are doing is trying to retaliate against President Trump trying to make tariffs equal. … President Trump is the first one to actually step out and make it so that it would be equal. But the French have decided to respond, and they are going to increase tariffs.”
The Trump administration official added, “But what the French don't realize is that there [are] a whole bunch of programs, whether it's through one of the entities of the United States called the DFC or the [Export-Import] Bank, where we have guaranteed loans, the American taxpayer has guaranteed loans for the French on some big infrastructure projects. And we shouldn't be doing that.”
Much debate has emerged in recent days as to whether Trump's tariffs are intended to be permanent or are simply a tool of negotiation, and on Thursday, the president indicated his belief that they offer him “great power” to develop deals with foreign leaders, noting that “if somebody said that we're going to give you something that's so phenomenal,” he is open to discussions.
Whether that was Trump's plan all along remains an open question, but on Sunday morning, White House Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett told ABC News, “More than 50 countries have reached out to the president to begin negotiations,” seemingly vindicating that notion that the president's decisive action has, as he put it, placed him firmly in the "driver's seat.”
President Donald Trump's recent imposition of massive tariffs on dozens of foreign countries has been a huge win for many American industries, most notably the seafood harvesting industry.
Despite the impact that Trump's tariffs have had on the U.S. stock market, many industries are happy with the situation and are praising Trump for fighting for American workers after decades of "free trade" eroding American industries and destroying blue-collar jobs.
Leann Borsarge, the COO of Bosarge Boats, went on Fox News to praise Trump's tariffs saying, "The U.S. domestic shrimp industry has been on a downward trajectory for decades now as a direct result of the unfair trade in the overseas aquaculture industry for growing shrimp overseas and these tariffs threw us a lifeline that we needed to hopefully live to fight another day in our industry in this country."
For decades, American industries have been devastated, thanks to having to compete with cheaper foreign labor or, in some cases, outright slave labor.
Trump is the first President in modern American history to recognize that we are getting ripped off and has dropped the hammer hard. These new tariffs are leveling the playing field and allowing American companies to compete while paying living wages to American workers.
In a massive move on Wednesday, Trump put a baseline levy of 10 percent on imports from foreign countries and “individualized reciprocal higher” tariffs on certain countries that Trump wants to target as countries that have taken advantage of the U.S.
Over the past few decades, U.S. seafood harvesters have been eaten alive by foreign competitors employing cheaper labor and having to meet much less stringent environmental and conservation standards.
The shrimp industry in particular has been mauled with nearly 95% of shrimp consumed in the United States imported from foreign countries like India, Ecuador, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Argentina.
In just two years, under the leadership of President Joe Biden, the shrimp industry's value plummeted from $522 million in 2021 to $269 million in 2023.
The Southern Shrimp Alliance praised the Trump administration's actions in addressing this sharp decline, stating that subsidies and forced labor in foreign countries made it impossible for them to compete, leading to the industry's downfall.
A statement from the organization explained that the tariffs "are expected to slow imports and prevent Americans from becoming completely dependent on foreign shrimp producers while the administration addresses harmful trade policies and enforcement deficiencies."
Trump's tariffs follow up on his promises to protect the American worker and uphold American interests over the interests of our "allies" that have been taking advantage of an unequal trade partnership for decades.
Of course, these tariffs are terrible news for the ultrawealthy and massive corporations that exploit cheap foreign labor and lax environmental standards to create cheaper goods that are sold for higher profits to Americans.
Unequal trade relationships have devastated entire regions of the nation and destroyed our manufacturing industries. Trump wanted to fix that in his first term and is still committed to tackling the problem in his 2nd term.
Former President Barack Obama shocked Americans by admitting that his marriage with former First Lady Michelle Obama is in a tough spot amid rumors that the pair is getting divorced.
During a conversation with Hamilton College President Steven Tepper, Obama admitted that his marriage had seen better days. Obama confessed that he was in a "deep deficit" with his wife, in a nod to the toll that his extensive political career took on his personal life.
According to The Daily Beast, Obama told Tepper, "I was in a deep deficit with my wife. So I have been trying to dig myself out of that hole by doing occasionally fun things.”
Obama was President of the United States from 2008 to 2016, and even since leaving the White House, Obama has been leading the Democrat Party from behind the scenes.
Despite being less publically facing and with lighter duties since his days as president, Barack Obama's marriage has been the subject of intense speculation.
Rumors of the Obamas splitting began at the memorial of former President Jimmy Carter in December.
Barack Obama attended the memorial alongside many of the nation's most prominent figures, including President Donald Trump and former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton.
While Trump, Bush, and Clinton all attended the memorial with their wives, Obama was noticeably on his own. Michelle Obama isn't a reclusive figure, so her absence from the event was immediately noticed by observers.
The rumors only strengthened when Michelle Obama also declined to attend President Trump's inauguration just over a month after Carter's memorial.
While Barack Obama attended Trump's inauguration, his wife was once again absent. This was the final nail in the coffin, launching the divorce rumors from a far-fetched conspiracy to the biggest story in Hollywood and American politics.
Of course, the Obamas' relationship has been heavily scrutinized over the years. Back in 2023, Barack Obama gave an interview saying, "Let me just say this: It sure helps to be out of the White House and to have a little more time with her," while speaking about the struggles of balancing presidential duties and family duties.
Michelle Obama has kept her cards close to her chest by choosing to address the rumors in a minimalist and dismissive manner in order to downplay the rumors without inflaming them.
In her podcast that she hosts with her brother, Michelle Obama talked at length about “negative energy” and misinformation impacting public figures. This could easily be interpreted as Michelle Obama taking a shot at those spreading rumors about her marriage with Barack Obama.
It's entirely possible that rumors of divorce are completely inaccurate, but it's also likely that something is going on behind the scenes. Michelle Obama's absence from two significant public events wasn't without reason.
With Obama's confession that things have gotten rough in the marriage, it is possible that there is a quiet divorce going on behind the scenes. However, Americans will simply have to wait and see what happens in the coming months.
President Donald Trump recently fired National Security Agency/Cyber Command Commander Gen. Timothy Haugh, and the reasoning for his firing is just now coming to light.
According to Breitbart, investigative journalist Laura Loomer claimed credit for "referring" Haugh for firing after she pointed out that former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley appointed him.
In a lengthy X post, Loomer described why she worked to convince the president's team that Haugh needed to go.
Loomer said Haugh had "no place" serving in the Trump administration given that he was hand-selected by Milley.
Loomer held nothing back in her explanation as to why she convinced the president that Haugh needed the boot.
"As a Biden appointee, General Haugh had no place serving in the Trump admin given the fact that he was HAND PICKED by General Milley, who was accused of committing treason by President Trump. Why would we want an NSA Director who was referred to Biden after being hand selected by Milley, who told China he would side with them over Trump!?!?" she wrote.
Loomer added, "he vetters should have been more critical, given the fact that the Pentagon revoked the security detail and clearance for retired general Mark Milley, who called President Trump a FASCIST. Why would we want Milley’s hand picked choice for NSA DIRECTOR?We do not! And thus, he was referred for firing."
She pointed out that the NSA is the most powerful intel agency in the world and insisted that a Biden-appointee should not hold that position.
"President Trump needs to have his own trusted NSA Director, appointed by him. We can’t allow for the NSA to be used to spy on President Trump and his Allies again," Loomer wrote.
She added that she believes anyone appointed by Obama or Biden "appear to lack integrity and lack the moral clarity to not weaponize their positions."
Haugh is now the second four-star general to be given his walking papers.
His firing followed that of former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Charles “CQ” Brown, who was a Biden-appointed commander.
Breitbart noted:
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs serves as the president’s top military adviser, and presidents are free to choose who they want in that role at any time, although it is normally a four-year assignment.
It'll be interesting to see who else gets their walking papers in the coming weeks and months.
Unfortunately, an important event set to be hosted by First Lady Melania Trump had to be rescheduled because of angry, TDS-ridden leftists who planned a major protest that could disrupt it.
According to Newsweek, Melania Trump's office announced that its 2025 Spring Garden Tours event was rescheduled out of an abundance of caution in keeping guests safe from a nearby "Hands Off" protest.
The reports noted that U.S. Secret Service and the National Park Service officials are working to accommodate all ticket holders.
It was noted that the first lady is no longer expected to attend the Spring Garden Tours.
The "Hands Off!" protest, which was scheduled to unfold across multiple cities, is a coalition of groups, individuals and organizations that describe themselves as pro-Democracy and "pro-worker."
The protesters who took part in the ordeal are apparently angry at President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk.
The protesters claim Musk and President Trump are engaging in an "illegal power grab" equating to "a crisis we must stop."
Newsweek noted:
Hands Off! is meant literally in most instances, encouraging Americans to peacefully revolt against the gutting of services, price hikes and attempts to slash programs like Medicaid and Social Security.
It's a shame that the event was interrupted, as it's a longstanding tradition at the White House. It began in the 1970s, when First Lady Pat Nixon opened the gardens to the public, and it has grown in popularity since then.
The outlet added:
Tickets issued for Saturday's White House Spring Garden Tour will now be honored on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., regardless of the originally assigned time slot. Those already holding tickets for Sunday should still arrive at scheduled times.
Plenty of social media users weighed in on the rescheduling, with many expressing their anger over the ordeal.
From the Office of the First Lady:

Stunning revelations about the extent of his incapabilities while he was in White House
The fact that Joe Biden was declining mentally was no secret to anyone who saw him walking or talking or interacting with people during the last part of his presidency.
After all, he already had been described by a special counsel who gave him a pass for violating federal law regarding government documents as a senior citizen with a failing memory.
But just how bad it got will surprise many: He "needed fluorescent tape fixed to the carpet to show him where to walk at events."
That's according to a report assembled by the Daily Mail.
"That way the octogenarian would know where to go without having someone to guide him," it explained.
And when he was preparing for his now infamous debate with Donald Trump, he "seemed to think he was 'President of NATO' rather than the United States."
The report cites several books, probably at least four, that are being prepared about his term in the White House.
In a book planned by author Chris Whipple, Ron Klain, Biden's chief of staff for two years and adviser for the 2024 campaign, talked about preparing for the debate that ended Biden's career.
"We sat around the table. [Biden] had answers on cards, and he was just extremely exhausted. And I was struck by how out of touch with American politics he was. He was just very, very focused on his interactions with NATO leaders. He just became very enraptured with being the head of NATO."
Whipple noted Klain "wondered half-seriously if Biden thought he was president of NATO instead of the U.S."
The tape was needed in New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy's house so that Biden "wouldn't get lost" after the debate, the report said.
Tape on stages to mark locations is routine for politicians, but "Biden needed the trail of bright markings to serve as 'colorful bread crumbs [that] showed the leader of the free world where to walk,'" it explained.
Authors Jonathan Allen and Arnie Parnes have another planned book, and explained Biden would know "to look for that."
His verbal and mental flubs already are legend, with a book detailing the multitudes, including when he told an audience member to stand up and let others see him, even though the person was in a wheelchair.
He also called, during news conferences, for dead people to be noticed.
Further, Josh Dawsey, Tyler Pager and Isaac Arnsdorf have yet another book coming out, and though Biden gave no interviews to the writers, more details are expected to be revealed.
Klain told Whipple that during preparations for the debate, Biden lasted only 45 minutes during a scheduled 90-minute mock debate, and didn't seem to grasp the topics.
The second mock debate ended even more quickly: "I'm just too tired to continue and I'm afraid of losing my voice here and I feel bad. I just need some sleep. I'll be fine tomorrow," Biden said.
Prominent Democrats defended Biden's capabilities up to the point of the debate and for a few, even after.
In a report at Fox News, Biden campaign aide Ashley Allison charged she felt "lied to" over what she had been told about Biden's status.
"I think I hadn't been around the president before that debate, and I worked for Joe Biden. And if the people around him knew that he was not capable, it is unacceptable to me that they allowed him to go onto that stage. I deserve better as a voter, not even as a Democrat, as a voter and as an American, I do."
The Trump administration is doubling down on its immigration policy, as highlighted by Vice President JD Vance in a recent televised appearance, emphasizing its commitment to deporting individuals deemed threats to public safety.
In a strong statement, Vance reaffirmed the administration's approach, focusing on the removal of criminally tied illegal aliens amid criticism from political opponents, as the Daily Wire reports.
During a segment on Fox & Friends on Thursday, Vance articulated the administration's steadfast resolve regarding deportation policies. His remarks come amidst growing debates and political discord around the issue.
One case drawing significant attention involved the deportation of a man allegedly affiliated with the notorious gang MS-13, which has been a focal point for the Trump administration. This decision was strongly backed by a 2019 ruling from an immigration judge, who found connections between the individual and criminal activities.
The deportation of gang members aligns with the administration's priority of enhancing public safety by targeting those with criminal associations. According to Vance, this is in line with the administration's mandate to protect American citizens.
These actions have not been without controversy. Democratic Party leaders have expressed concerns about potential mishandlings in some cases, arguing that individuals like the deported gang suspect may have been unjustly removed from the United States.
Democrats have criticized the administration's deportation strategies, citing instances where they argue that productive community members may have been wrongfully deported. The deportation of the alleged MS-13 member has become a touchpoint in these debates, raising questions about the fairness and accuracy of the administration's practices.
Despite the outcry from critics, Vance asserted a dismissive stance towards what he viewed as politicized responses. During his appearance, he pointed to instances where Democrats had underscored specific deportation cases, contrasting these with crimes committed by illegal immigrants against U.S. citizens.
Vance contended, "We do the American people’s business," making it clear that the administration's priorities lie with ensuring safety over political appeasement. This underpins a narrative that places public security at the forefront of immigration policy.
The dialogue around immigration escalated further when Vance addressed past deportation decisions. He referred a case involving a man deported based on alleged gang membership and involvement in human trafficking, while Democrats described him generically as a "father of three."
According to Vance, the portrayal of these deported individuals as innocent stands in stark contrast to the administration's findings and the necessity to act on them. This has added layers to the ongoing discussion, with supporters claiming the administration is justified in taking stringent actions.
Vance's remarks reflect an administration undeterred by Democratic Party opposition, prioritizing strict oversight and actions against illegal immigrants involved in illegal activities. This approach has maintained a focus on stringent deportation procedures reflecting Trump's stance on national security.
A central theme of the administration's policy is the perceived disconnect between Democratic Party viewpoints and the impact of criminal activities linked to illegal immigration. Vance emphasized that the controversy surrounding illegal immigrants should not overshadow the crimes affecting U.S. citizens.
Highlighting a tragic case of murder committed by an illegal immigrant, Vance underscored that Democrats' criticism seemed more concerned with preventing deportations than addressing such crimes. The administration frames these deportation measures as a necessary response to safeguard citizens.
Through these measures, the Trump administration continues to advocate for a zero-tolerance policy against individuals with illegal status deemed criminal threats, reflecting a position that endures despite political challenges.
In conclusion, the Trump administration’s ongoing deportation strategies are firmly aligned with its broader law enforcement objectives. Vance’s remarks on Fox & Friends reinforce an unwavering commitment to policies targeted at enhancing public safety by addressing illegal activities related to immigration.
As debates continue between political factions, the Trump administration remains committed to policies that may generate contention but align with its central agenda of prioritizing American public safety. The controversy underscores significant ideological divides on how immigration and deportation should be managed in the United States.
In a surprising split from royal tradition, Prince William has hired the lawyers who represented his mother Princess Diana in her divorce from King Charles.
The move was reported by the Daily Mail, which said that William is no longer using Harbottle & Lewis, the law firm that has been associated with the royal family for decades.
Prince William is hiring Mishcon de Reya, which represented Princess Diana in her highly publicized divorce from Charles in 1996, just one year before her death in a Paris car accident.
Harbottle & Lewis represented the royal family during the News of the World royal phone-hacking scandal, which led to exposure of Prince William's voicemails and the eventual closure of the newspaper.
Williams' decision to part ways with the firm has been left its partner Gerrard Tyrrell -- one of King Charles' top advisers -- feeling snubbed.
The older of King Charles' two sons, William is heir apparent to the British throne and is often seen as a more traditional figure than his controversial brother Prince Harry.
But William's legal move is seen as evidence of his desire to forge his own identity within the rigid structure of the British monarchy.
According to the Mail, William's decision has stunned Buckingham Palace.
"William wants to do things differently from his father and wants to be seen to do them differently," a friend told the Daily Mail.
Another source said, "William wanted to strike out on his own. He did not want to continue using his father’s lawyers. It’s as simple as that. He wants to be his own man."
The King and the Prince of Wales have often been seen as allies in the ongoing drama surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have repeatedly aired their grievances with the royal family since leaving their duties in 2020.
But William is no hide-bound traditionalist, Richard Eden of the Daily Mail noted.
"William’s decision to branch out from his father’s legal advisers shows that he is more than willing to shake up the status quo behind palace doors as well," Eden wrote.
In addition to navigating royal politics, William has had two loved ones battle cancer recently. His wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, announced earlier this year that her cancer is in remission, months after she stunned the world with the news of her illness.
The King is returning to his public duties after a recent hospital stay caused by side effects from ongoing cancer treatment.
