President Donald Trump's administration is considering allowing tax cuts to expire for high-income earners to overcome possible shortfalls without cuts, Axios reported. The outlet claimed an unnamed senior White House official said that Trump would be forced to do so as a concession to Democrats in exchange for the tax cut extensions.

Axios called this an amazing "scoop" but did not name inside sources who allegedly dished this information. However, the report made it clear that the sources also claimed this was still in the works and not "set in stone."

The top tax rate for individuals earning more than $609,351 and married couples earning $731,201 is 35% with Trump's tax cuts still in effect. With this concession, the top tax rate will go back to 39.6% with a lower income threshold, just as it was before 2018.

This would defang Democrats' main arguments, including slamming Trump for looking to cut Medicaid while cutting taxes for the rich. "If we renew tax cuts for the rich paid for by throwing people off Medicaid, we're gonna get f--king slaughtered," the White House official reportedly claimed.

Taxing the Rich

Democrats have used class warfare as a major party platform point for decades. Part of their appeal has always been to make the rich pay their "fair share" to redistribute wealth to lower earners, which is exactly what the punishingly high top tax rate has done.

Republicans have historically opposed such a strategy and have run and won on precisely that. For example, President Ronald Reagan left office with the top tax rate at 28%, down from 70% when he was sworn in in 1981 which lead to another GOP victory in 1988.

President George W. Bush also lowered the 39.6% top marginal tax rate under President Bill Clinton down to 35% during his administration. If Trump reverses that trend, it would be a break from conventional Republican governance.

Although Trump has not been much of a fiscal conservative in his spending, he has championed his tax cuts and the positive economic impact they have. Meanwhile, some have claimed that his imposition of tariffs is the same thing as a tax increase, NPR reported.

Since taking office, Trump has imposed 25% tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada and 10% to 20% on goods from China. Trump sees this as a way of forcing companies to make products in the U.S., while his detractors claim it will simply be another cost passed on to consumers.

Serious Ramifications

The chatter from unnamed officials about a tax hike comes as Republicans worry about the serious ramifications of such a move.  Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned of "economic calamity" if lawmakers fail to extend the cuts.

During his confirmation hearing, Bessent said they must extend the cuts to avoid imposing a "crushing $4 trillion tax hike" on the nation. He made his case to the Senate Finance Committee before ultimately being confirmed.

"Today, I believe that President Trump has a generational opportunity to unleash a new economic golden age that will create more jobs, wealth, and prosperity for all Americans. We must make permanent the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and implement new pro-growth policies to reduce the tax burden on American manufacturers, service workers and seniors," Bessent said.

"This is the single most important economic issue of the day. If we do not renew and extend, then we will be facing an economic calamity and, as always with financial instability, that falls on the middle and working class people," Bessent added.

Even if Trump is in discussions about allowing the higher earners to pay more taxes, it doesn't mean it will happen. These kinds of reports are meant to demoralize supporters and give ammo to his opposition, but only time will tell whether any of this is true.

A Las Vegas man has been charged for using a Molotov cocktail to torch several Teslas at a local Tesla Collision Center last week.

36-year-old Paul Hyon Kim was arrested last Wednesday by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department after he used a Molotov cocktail to set five Tesla cars on fire at the dealership in what is being described as a politically motivated attack.

Kim has been hit with charges for crimes ranging from destruction of property, arson, and possessing a fire device, according to records from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

However, those charges are the least of Kim's worries as the Department of Justice is getting involved and Kim will also be facing federal charges.

Spencer Evans, the FBI agent-in-charge of the bureau's Las Vegas office, told reporters on Thursday that Kim's act of political violence, or terrorism, will land him a lengthy prison sentence.

Leftist Domestic Terrorism

In an address to the media, Evans stated, "There's nothing courageous or noble about firebombing private property and terrorizing your local community. The self-righteous mob that's cheering you on today to commit acts of violence on their behalf will leave you high and dry and forget about you tomorrow. And at the end of the day, you and you alone will be held responsible and face the prospect of a lengthy prison sentence."

Kim attempted to hide his identity when he attacked the Tesla dealership by concealing his face and wearing gloves and black clothing. He also damaged surveillance cameras with a rifle to further protect his identity, an effort that failed.

Five vehicles were destroyed in the attack, with another unlit Molotov cocktail found in another vehicle by police.

To confirm that this act of violence was political in nature, Kim spraypainted the leftist slogan "Resist" on the front doors of the dealership.

Police also confirmed that Kim has links to communist groups and Palestinian activist organizations, making it clear that this act of violence was political in nature, meaning Kim could face charges of domestic terrorism.

Terrorism is often defined as the use of violence and intimidation, often targeting innocent civilians, in order to achieve political aims. This factor is why the FBI is involved and why Kim could be going to prison for a very long time.

Hefty Prison Sentence

After discovering Kim's DNA at the scene, police searched his apartment and two vehicles, where they found multiple firearms, including rifles, a shotgun, a handgun, and gun parts, as well as ammunition.

The Trump administration is pursuing charges against multiple individuals for attacking Tesla cars and dealerships around the nation, and many charges carry a minimum penalty of five years and up to 20 years in prison for a range of violent acts.

Should terrorism be added onto these charges, that eliminates the possibility of parole or any early release for these offenders.

Considering the damage done by Kim and the overtly political nature of his attack, it is highly likely that he will be spending the next couple of decades locked up in a federal prison.

In a heartfelt revelation, figure skater Maxim Naumov has shared the profound impact of the sudden loss of his parents, Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, in a tragic plane crash. The accident, which involved an American Airlines jet and an army helicopter on January 29 in Washington, D.C., has left an indelible mark on Naumov.

Maxim Naumov is channeling his grief and honoring his late parents through his figure skating performances, forever altering his outlook on life and his career.

The ill-fated plane crash caused extreme changes for Maxim Naumov, who recently competed in the U.S. Championships, securing a respectable fourth place. Shishkova and Naumov, both former world champion figure skaters, were passengers on the American Airlines flight involved in the collision. The couple, instrumental in shaping young skaters, had resided in the United States as coaches since 1998.

Maxim's Mother Reveals Change In Plans

Maxim Naumov recalls the last interaction he had with his mother, Evgenia Shishkova when she informed him of a change in their flight plans. She requested he pick them up upon arrival. However, the expected jubilant message of their safe landing never came, replaced instead by devastating news.

Expressing deep admiration for his parents, Naumov describes how they were always supportive, going so far as to say, "Their love and care was evident in each stage of my life. They were always like superheroes to me." Maxim's mother consistently texted and called him immediately upon landing, which made their silence during the tragedy even more alarming.

In his own words, Naumov explained the shift in his feelings following his parent's passing. He expressed: “I just want you to know that we love you and we’re proud of you.” His tribute to them on March 2 at the Legacy on Ice U.S. Figure Skating Benefit in D.C. was marked by emotion. He skated with a deep sense of love, which was unfamiliar and overwhelming.

Honoring Their Legacy Through Performance

Skating has now taken on a new dimension for Naumov. Dedicated to his late parents, he conveyed, "It’s three people," indicating that his drive and motivation now stem from what his parents would have wanted. During his benefit performance, he laid two white roses near the rink, a poignant gesture to honor their memory.

Maxim Naumov's parents were recognized for their immense talent and accomplishments in the world of figure skating. Married to each other, Shishkova and Naumov claimed the pairs world title in 1994. Their journey began as children under the guidance of Ludmila Velikova, who considered them her own.

Velikova, commenting on their tragic passing, expressed profound sorrow, stating, "They were my favorite sportspeople. They were like my own children. What’s happened is awful. The best people have been taken away from us."

Remembering Their Role As Coaches

As coaches in the United States, Shishkova and Naumov made significant contributions to the figure skating community, pivoting in nurturing upcoming talent. Maxim's parents' presence marked his experience at the U.S. Championships. Although his mother was too nervous to watch him live, his father, Vadim, was present to cherish his son’s performance.

According to Doug Zeghibe, the CEO of the Skating Club of Boston, Maxim was competing in the senior men’s event and had his parents with him. The family flew back soon after, with Maxim returning home just before the accident took place. Zeghibe remarked, "Max was competing at the U.S. Championships in the senior men’s event, championship men. He placed fourth, which is a medalling spot."

This tragedy has deeply affected the young skater, reshaping his future aspirations and driving him to honor the legacy of his parents through his craft. With his personal journey altered forever, Maxim Naumov continues to perform not just for himself, but for his beloved parents who instilled in him the passion and skill he now carries forward.

In a stunning reversal, President Trump has recalled the nomination of congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-Ny.) to be his ambassador to the United Nations.

For Trump, the decision comes down to simple math: House Republicans' narrow majority leaves little room for error as they prepare to pass Trump's agenda.

"I have asked Elise, as one of my biggest Allies, to remain in Congress to help me deliver Historic Tax Cuts, GREAT Jobs, Record Economic Growth, a Secure Border, Energy Dominance, Peace Through Strength, and much more, so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN," Trump wrote.

Trump pulls Stefanik

A stalwart Trump ally, Stefanik first won attention for defending Trump during the Ukraine impeachment saga and later received praise for her withering questioning of Ivy League presidents over campus anti-Semitism.

She would have brought a staunchly pro-Israel viewpoint to her work at the United Nations, which is often critical of the Jewish state.

Trump won Stefanik's district in upstate New York by 30 points, but the uncertainty of a special election there appears to have weighed on the president.

The GOP is also growing concerned about an April 1 special election in Florida to fill the seat formerly held by Mike Waltz, who is now Trump's national security adviser. The Republican candidate in the race, Randy Fine, is trailing his Democratic opponent in fundraising.

"With a very tight Majority, I don’t want to take a chance on anyone else running for Elise’s seat. The people love Elise and, with her, we have nothing to worry about come Election Day. There are others that can do a good job at the United Nations," Trump wrote.

Politics 101

The news of Stefanik's withdrawal has emboldened Democrats, who have felt encouraged by a recent upset in Pennsylvania after months of struggling to oppose Trump.

"Republicans and Donald Trump knew they were on track to lose the special election because of their deeply unpopular, disastrous agenda," DCCC spokesperson Courtney Rice.

Trump expanded on his decision to pull Stefanik Friday, saying it boils down to "politics 101."

“We don’t want to take any chances, so I went to Elise and I said, ‘Elise, do you mind?’” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

“We don’t want to take any chances. It’s as simple as that. It’s basic politics. It’s politics 101. She’s very popular. She’s going to win.”

Reacting to the shocking change of fortune, Stefanik told Fox News' Hannity that she is "proud to be a team player."

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump delivered on his promise, granting clemency to hundreds of January 6 prisoners and defendants via an executive order on Day One of his new administration, offering survivors of Biden's weaponized Justice Department a second chance.

But for Proud Boys leaders – Marine Corps veteran Zachary Rehl, decorated Army veteran Joseph Biggs and Marine Corps veteran Dominic Pezzola – the fight for justice continues.

With their sentences commuted to time served, but not being fully pardoned like all the others, these men remain branded insurrectionists and even terrorists, saddled with nearly a dozen felony convictions each.

In bombshell court filings awaiting U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly's ruling, the trio alleges federal prosecutors and the FBI broke laws to frame them with "seditious conspiracy" during their six-month trial.

Their attorney, Roger Roots, claims the Biden-led government knew the Proud Boys had no plan to "overthrow the U.S." on Jan. 6, 2021, yet it orchestrated an informant-driven entrapment operation to "impose a one-party, slave-plantation-style government wherein political dissidents would be jailed, tormented and silenced" with wrongful convictions for merely trespassing while walking through the U.S. Capitol building.

His 19-page motion to dismiss accuses the feds of planting undercover agents among the group – some even within the group's defense team – and barring any trial mention of them.

Not only did the undercover informants influence protesters to commit crimes during the riot, but the government embedded them within the Proud Boys' defense counsel, like the confidential human source, or CHS, named "J.K." who used the alias "Aaron" when he took the stand.

"It was FBI informant 'Aaron' himself who placed furniture in a doorway area to keep the entry open for demonstrators to stream into the Capitol," the filing states. "'Aaron' also admitted that it was he – a paid undercover FBI CHS – who invited the scariest and most heavily armored marcher (Robert Geiswein) to join the Proud Boy march on the morning of January 6."

Each informant repeatedly confirmed with law enforcement officials that no plan had ever been devised by Rehl, Biggs, Pezzola, or any member of the Proud Boys organization to carry out a terror attack or violently overthrow the government.

Yet, the intel from the spooks deployed by the government to entrap the group did not stop prosecutors from advancing a fictitious conspiracy narrative, Roots says.

"[Aaron] texted his FBI handlers in real-time informing them that the Proud Boy defendants had no plan or intention of breaching the Capitol Grounds," the defense argued. "Thus, the FBI knew through the entire case that there was no plan, no seditious conspiracy, and no organized effort to riot or unlawfully obstruct the proceedings of January 6."

In addition, during the FBI's bid to attempt to entrap "Trump's army" with allegations of sedition, the Metropolitan Police Department deployed more than two dozen undercover plainclothes officers among the Proud Boys on Jan. 6, 2021.

"One of these [undercover] officers is heard on camera urging protestors to 'Go! Go! Go!' and 'Push forward!' up the steps toward the Capitol building. The defendants still have not been provided with all the body-worn camera footage of all these undercover MPD officers," the motion states. "Even with entire squadrons of informants among the defendants and the Proud Boy organization, not a single informant was able to report any plans of sedition being made by Proud Boys."

The government's key evidence, the "1776 Returns/Winter Palace" document outlining a Capitol takeover, was a fraud, Roots asserts.

Persecution of Christians is common from Islamists, those who take the Quran's instructions at face value and try to kill the "believers."

It's found routinely across the Middle East and North Africa, where Muslims often are the majority of the population.

But now there's a new threat to those who follow the Bible: In India, where Hindus repeatedly have launched violent attacks.

report from the American Center for Law and Justice describes the "disturbing escalation" in that activity against the minority Christians, who make up only 2.3% of the nation's 1.4 billion population.

The "increasing hostility and violence" is not just about intolerance; "it's about the fundamental human rights that are being violated every day," the report said.

Last year, the United Christian Forum, which focuses on human rights, confirmed 834 instances of violence against Christians in India, up from 601 the year before.

"Sadly, these numbers do not include the instances that remain unreported," the report noted, but they are a dramatic surge from the 150 such incidents documented in 2014.

The violence includes physical assaults, sexual assaults, and even murder.

The report said the explosion of anti-Christian violence has coincided with the surging influence of Hindu national groups such as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Bharatiya Janata Party political ideologies.

Those groups, both of which confirm Narendra Modi. the prime minister, as a member, "have been accused of inciting violence and exploiting communal tensions for political gain, as they shamefully portray Christians as a threat to Hindu culture and society," the ACLJ reported.

The report noted Modi joined the RSS during his youth and it has influenced his politics, as he has maintained ties even as prime minister.

He also held various titles with the BJP.

The report warned, "One of the most troubling ways the government achieves its Hindu nationalism agenda is the use of anti-conversion laws. These laws, enacted in several states under the BJP's rule, are ostensibly designed to prevent forced conversions. However, they are often used to target Christians, criminalizing legitimate religious activities and leading to the arrest and harassment of clergy members and other Christians."

The agenda also includes denying Christians access to government programs given to Hindus.

The ACLJ warned, "The involvement of the BJP and RSS in the persecution of Christians is well-documented. The RSS, as the ideological mentor of the BJP, has been accused of inciting violence against Christians and other religious minorities. In October 2021, Mohan Bhagwat, the head of the RSS, made a speech warning Hindus about religious conversions and alleged 'demographic changes' in India's northeastern states that have a large Christian population. This speech was followed by a series of violent attacks on Christians and churches across India."

A former Freddie Mac employee was taken into custody after making bomb threats on social media against the government-sponsored enterprise, Breitbart reported. Maria Del Carmen Lopez Lozano allegedly said in a series of posts threatening the McLean, Virginia, headquarters and its employees.

Fairfax County Police arrested Lopez Lozanno, who worked in the company's tech department, on Wednesday following threats she made online. Although authorities haven't released the posts, an unnamed source close to the matter said the 38-year-old claimed she would "blow everything up in Freddie Mac right now so they know this is real and not fake," the source claimed.

"Give me a few more minutes and I will blow up this mother ****** building at Freddie Mac so people know that this is real and not fake," Lopez Lozanno is said to have added. She also allegedly made threats to President Donald Trump-appointed U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte.

Threatening Behavior

The threats began after Lopez Lozano reportedly went live on Facebook while driving to the mortgage company's HQ1 building. She broadcasted herself going onto company grounds by pretending to be a senior executive.

She then lied about Pulte restoring her employment and giving her a promotion. Because of these antics, police arrested Lopez Lozano and charged her with trespassing and making a bomb threat.

Shockingly, police released her on Thursday morning, and a source close to the matter said she immediately resumed her online behavior. Freddie Mac and FHFAD, the agency overseeing the company, wouldn't confirm anything about the case, however.

It's not known why Lopez Lozanno made such threats as police have kept mum on the case. There has been turnover at the mortgage company, including the exit of Freddie Mac CEO Diana Reid board members who resigned from the affiliated financing company, Fannie Mae.

Notably, Pulte has cut some 200 employees, according to the UK Daily Mail, but it doesn't appear Lopez Lozano was one of them. Instead, she ranted that "Freddie Mac as an investor has hacked the brain using Artificial Intelligence, and they did it with the help of Maria Del Carmen Lozano."

Unhinged Attacks

There's something about the Department of Government Efficiency's efforts to streamline the government that has triggered unhinged attacks. Many of them are directed at the leader of the effort, Tesla billionaire Elon Musk, or rather, the cars that he makes.

There's been an epidemic of attacks on Teslas and dealerships simply because of what Musk is trying to do with streamlining the government and rooting out fraud and waste, Fox News reported.

"The real problem is not the people. It's not like the crazy guy that firebombs a Tesla dealership," Musk told Fox News’ Bret Baier on "Special Report" Thursday.

"It's the people pushing the propaganda that cause that guy to do it. Those are the real villains here," Musk charged.

It's still unclear what motivated Lopez Lozanno, but it comes at a time when these unhinged attacks are happening because people are upset about Trump's agenda. It's time for disgruntled Americans to act with civility and not like criminals.

The Senate voted 52-48 on Thursday to overturn a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rule that would limit overdraft fees for credit unions and major banks, the Washington Examiner reported. This comes as President Donald Trump's administration reviews the agency for cuts.

The original rule capping the fees was enacted during then-President Joe Biden's term. With the Senate approving the resolution, introduced by Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott (R-SC), the measure will go to the House of Representatives.

While limiting the fees is sold as a measure to help the poor, many believe that it would disincentivize banks from doing business with financially risky customers and be a net negative to the impoverished. Scott said as much when introducing the resolution.

"This overdraft conversation is a critically important conversation if you are like me, a guy who grew up in poverty, a single-parent household, who understands the difficulty, the challenge, of single moms making those ends meet. I want every single hardworking American to have access to our financial system," Scott said.

Biden's Legacy

Scott's Senate resolution was a remedy for the unintended ramifications of the cap while a similar resolution was introduced in the House of Representatives for the same reason. House Financial Services Chairman French Hill (R-AR) called the fee cap a CFPB overreach.

"As I have consistently said, the CFPB needs guardrails on its enforcement and rulemaking powers, and this rule is another clear example of why. The CFPB’s actions on overdraft is another form of government price controls that hurt consumers who deserve financial protections and greater choice," Hill said in a statement.

The original rule came about when Biden, to buy votes, fixated on eliminating so-called "junk fees." One type he addressed was overdraft fees, which he capped as low as $5 for institutions with $10 billion in assets, was done ostensibly to help the poor, who are disproportionately the ones left paying these fees, according to the Associated Press.

The fees charged for an overdraft, which happens when a debit comes through for more than the balance in the account, were upwards of $35. Biden called them "exploitive," though it's a way for banks to collect on poor financial risks that would otherwise be turned away.

Biden's CFPB focused solely on the dollar amount of the fees, touting $5 billion in annual overdraft fees that would not have to be paid. This translated to $225 per household for those whose balances typically hovered between $237 and $439, which make up 70% of overdraft fees paid.

Trump's Plan

Even before the latest resolutions undoing Biden's legacy, Trump signaled that there could be cuts to the CFPB. Last month, Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency met with federal employees from the CFPB to let them know most of the 1,700 employees would be cut as they were "winding down" its operations, NBC News reported.

One employee, who identified himself by the pseudonym Alex Doe, said that he had orders to clean house. "My team was directed to assist with terminating the vast majority of CFPB employees as quickly as possible," he told the news outlet.

The three-phase plan would go as many other agencies with probationary and term employees the first out, followed by massive cuts to 1,200 jobs. "Finally, the Bureau would ‘reduce altogether’ within 60-90 days by terminating most of its remaining staff," Doe explained.

The ultimate goal was to get to just a handful of employees who might be absorbed into another agency. "One Senior Executive said that CFPB will become a ‘room at Treasury, White House, or Federal Reserve with five men and a phone in it,'" Doe claimed.

It is a good decision to allow banks to do business in a way that keeps them solvent so they can continue to service all kinds of customers. The fact that Trump is also looking to cut the CFPB is a bonus for businesses and consumers.

The Trump administration said Thursday that it had revoked the visas of at least 300 foreign students protesting and agitating on college campuses and that they are "looking every day" for foreign students who have aligned themselves with terrorist groups like Hamas.

“We do it every day,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters during a press conference in Guyana. “Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visa.”

“Maybe more, it might be more than 300 at this point,” Rubio said.

"Zero tolerance"

Rubio stated three weeks ago on X that the administration has a "zero tolerance" policy for student protesters who express sympathy or solidarity with Hamas terrorists.

“Those who support designated terrorist organizations, including Hamas, threaten our national security. The United States has zero tolerance for foreign visitors who support terrorists. Violators of U.S. law — including international students — face visa denial or revocation, and deportation,” he wrote.

The State Department named the policy "Catch and Revoke," and it uses AI tools and other resources to pull data from visa holders' social media accounts and see who is supporting Hamas and other group like them.

"Hope we run out"

“At some point, I hope we run out because we’ve gotten rid of all of them,” Rubio said. “But, we’re looking every day for these lunatics.”

Citing common sense, Rubio said it would be "stupid" to allow students to stay in the country to cause trouble and turmoil here.

It would be “stupid for any country in the world to welcome people into their country that are going to go to their universities … to start a riot … take over a library and harass people,” he said.

“I don’t care what movement you’re involved in,” he continued. “Why would any country in the world allow people to come and disrupt? We gave you a visa to come and study and get a degree, not to become a social activist that tears up our university campuses.”

“If you come into the United States as a visitor and create a ruckus for us, we don’t want it,” Rubio added. “We don’t want it in our country. Go back and do it in your country. But you’re not going to do it in our country.”

Calming things down

Just over 400,000 student visas were given out by the U.S. government in 2024 so that mostly college-age individuals could study at U.S. higher learning institutions.

While most student visas are accepted if students can show they have enough money to complete a degree in the U.S., they also have to agree to follow our laws while they are here.

Getting arrested at a protest has given the government just what it needs to send them back, which Rubio and President Donald Trumo are hoping will take the wind out of campus protest sails and calm things down.

Second lady Usha Vance's trip to Greenland hit a snag after a local travel company refused to work with her, Newsmax reported. Tupilak Travel's move is part of a broader rejection of President Donald Trump's overtures toward a possible acquisition of the large island nation.

Plans were initially accepted by the tour company for Usha Vance's visit. However, a Facebook post on Tuesday, which was translated into English from the native Greenlandic language, explained the decision.

"Yesterday, we were approached by the U.S. consulate to see if Usha Vance, the wife of the vice president of the United States, would like to visit our store on Friday; we agreed, as almost anyone is welcome. After careful consideration, we have decided not to accept the request, as it is not appropriate to interfere with events and media followers," Tupilak Travel wrote Tuesday.

Icy Reception

According to Newsweek, which broke the story about the company's rejection, the wife of Vice President J.D. Vance was set to accompany her husband on the visit. They were slated to tour Greenland's historic sites and take in the dogsled race known as the Avannaata Qimussersu.

Earlier this week, Usha Vance said on Instagram that she was excited to be attending Greenland during this event. "I've been reading all about it with my children, and I'm amazed by the incredible skill and teamwork that it takes to participate in this race," she wrote Tuesday.

Also expected to visit Greenland were Trump's Energy Secretary Chris Wright and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. However, a White House news release Tuesday failed to mention Wright and Waltz being part of the visit.

It also indicated that the Vances will be touring Greenland's Pituffik Space Base, which appears to be a change of earlier plans as well. There could be several reasons for the change, but a representative from Tupalik Travel blamed Trump, which likely has him fuming behind the scenes.

"We are known for our hospitality, and we welcome visitors from other countries as our valued guests. With this delegation, however, we were afraid that it would turn out to be a MAGA event [which] we did not want to be part of," the tour company's manager Henrik Skydsbjerg said.

Important Visit

Regardless of the current state of relations with Greenland, the White House recognizes that it's a key territory in securing the globe. "The strategic partnership between the United States and Greenland has long played a vital role in our national and economic security," a White House news release said.

"During World War Two, the United States established over a dozen military bases in Greenland to defend the North Atlantic from Nazi incursion. During the Cold War, the United States committed additional resources to Greenland to defend against Soviet missile attacks," it added.

"In the decades since, neglect and inaction from Danish leaders and past U.S. administrations have presented our adversaries with the opportunity to advance their own priorities in Greenland and the Arctic. President Trump is rightly changing course," the news release noted.

Trump has indicated he will not give up easily on what he thinks is an essential acquisition. "We need Greenland. And the world needs us to have Greenland, including Denmark. Denmark has to have us have Greenland. And, you know, we’ll see what happens. But if we don’t have Greenland, we can’t have great international security," he told reporters, according to The Hill.

Leftists at home and abroad have an outsized opposition to Trump, his administration, and his agenda. Some in Greenland may try to keep the U.S. at arm's length, but Trump is not about to give up on this plan.
