FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced Sunday that the FBI will once again investigate important cases all but ignored under then-President Joe Biden's administration, Axios reported. The cases include the 2022 leak of the Supreme Court's draft decision on Roe v. Wade and cocaine found at the White House in 2023.

The cases Bongino has promised to focus on are a long time coming for conservatives. The investigation into the leak of the 2022 Dobbs decision was never solved, nor was the identity of whoever left cocaine in what's likely the most secure building in the United States.

Bongino will also look at the source of the pipe bombs discovered on Jan. 6, 2021. With President Donald Trump in the White House and appointments like Bongino and FBI director Kash Patel, it seems Americans will finally get the answers they deserve.

Pursuing justice

Bongino's commitment to pursuing justice for investigations left unsettled came by way of an update. "A few updates: -The Director and I will have most of our incoming reform teams in place by next week," Bongino said of Patel in his post to X, formerly Twitter.

The deputy director wrote about hiring decisions for their "reform agenda" and which cases would take priority. "Shortly after swearing in, the Director and I evaluated a number of cases of potential public corruption that, understandably, have garnered public interest," Bongino wrote.

"We made the decision to either re-open, or push additional resources and investigative attention, to these cases. These cases are the DC pipe bombing investigation, the cocaine discovery at the prior administration’s White House, and the leak of the Supreme Court Dobbs case," Bongino announced.

"I receive requested briefings on these cases weekly and we are making progress. If you have any investigative tips on these matters that may assist us then please contact the FBI," he urged.

Bongino noted that he and Patel would "limit our media footprint overall in order to keep the attention on the work being done." However, he is interested in the public's cooperation and has promised more updates. "Thank you for all of your support. God bless America and all those who defend Her," he concluded.

The Implications

The cases receiving a fresh look were consequential, but somehow remain unsolved. In the leak of the Supreme Court decision, NBC News reported that the source of the leaker was never found despite the relatively few people who would have had the chance to do so.

As Justice Samuel Alito noted, the leak "made those of us who were thought to be in the majority in support of overruling Roe and Casey targets for assassination, because it gave people a rational reason to think they could prevent that from happening by killing one of us." With such high stakes, it was crucial to determine the source of the leak, but none was identified.

In the case of the cocaine at the White House, it's difficult to comprehend how a place so secured and so surveilled can also be a location where illegal drugs can be dropped without consequence. If nothing else, the FBI should at least find out why that is.

The Jan. 6 pipe bombs similarly left an astonishing lack of leads despite the FBI's ability to track down others who happened to be in the vicinity of the Capitol on the day of the riot. Yet according to CBS News, they don't know who planted bombs outside the Democratic National Committee headquarters and the Republican National Committee headquarters that day.

It's about time for the FBI to take another look at these cases and find some fresh leads that could provide the answers the American people deserve. Even if nothing comes of it, this bombshell announcement demonstrates that the Trump administration is willing to do whatever it takes to restore trust.

With the use of DOGE leader Elon Musk's algorithms and data collection techniques, the Social Security Administration has been able to remove 12.3 million people whose birth dates say they are over 120 years old from the rolls, preventing fraud and abuse at the agency.

DOGE posted about the accomplishment on X on Friday.

"After 11 weeks, @SocialSecurity has finished this major cleanup initiative: ~12.3M individuals aged 120+ have now been marked as deceased," the agency wrote.

An issue with Biden

The initiative began in March. It was not clear whether any money was going to the 120+ year individuals on the list, but just them being included could lead to fraud if hackers got ahold of their information.

There were some names that still had to be verified, as they had two or more differing birth dates in the system.

Musk also said in March that 2.1 million non-citizens were issued Social Security numbers in 2024, which should never have happened.

Longtime friend of Musk, Antonio Gracias, CEO of Valor Equity Partners, suggested at the time that the numbers were issued during a Biden-era program that allowed migrants into the U.S. and provided them access to Social Security numbers.

“When you come in the country, if you’re illegal, there’s a couple of ways to come in. You can come in through a port of entry and you can tell them you’re afraid and they’ll give you an asylum case, you’ll get an interview, then you get in. That’s one way to do it. Another way to do it is to just go to the border … walk up to a border patrol officer and you tell them you want to come in,” Gracias said.

“Once you’re in the country and you got an asylum through one of these pathways, you can apply for a work document. You file a 765, you get this form called a 766, and then the social security administration automatically sends you in the mail a social security number. No interview. No ID,” he concluded.

Not fair

Obviously, this should not be happening in any way, shape or form.

Once an illegal immigrant has a social security number, they will be able to apply for things like section 8 housing and SNAP benefits.

They will also be able to get jobs legally.

It's possible that the previous administration justified this because the government could make tax revenue from it, but the tradeoff is not even close to fair in the long run.

Amid rising tensions in the political arena, House Oversight Chairman James Comer has called for legal action against the Biden family, specifically targeting James Biden for allegedly providing false information to Congress, Townhall reported.

House Oversight's Comer urges prosecution of James Biden amid claims of corruption and financial misconduct.

Comer has been vocal about his demand for Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute James Biden, accusing him of misleading lawmakers on matters involving former President Joe Biden's role in overseas business transactions. He argues that this perceived deception is part of a broader effort to shield Joe Biden from scrutiny.

Claims of a Wider Cover-Up and Corruption

The House Oversight Chairman alleges that evidence and witness testimony present a stark contradiction to James Biden's statements regarding his brother's involvement in these business dealings. These claims add to the narrative of an ongoing cover-up, according to Comer.

Comer's assertions are not without specific allegations. He points to accusations of possible financial wrongdoing by the Biden family, citing reports that flagged irregularities including money laundering, bribery, and extortion.

The House Oversight Chairman has openly criticized what he perceives as protective measures surrounding the Bidens, specifically mentioning a controversial pardon as a shield for Hunter Biden against the repercussions of certain actions.

Comer Seeks Collaboration with Justice Department

Though Comer acknowledges he lacks the authority to initiate legal proceedings himself, he is keen on collaborating with the Department of Justice to advance his cause. He highlights that both Bondi and the DOJ have the jurisdiction to pursue charges.

Comer aims to illustrate that Bondi could carve a significant historical legacy by energetically pursuing what he labels as an evident public corruption case. Emphasizing its public impact, he suggests that prosecuting the Bidens could solidify a stance against potential misconduct at the highest levels.

In pursuit of greater accountability, Comer stresses the larger implications of the allegations. He conveys the importance of addressing these issues to instill integrity within government operations and ensure all individuals, regardless of status, are subject to the law.

Potential Political Implications of Prostate Cancer Announcement

Complicating the narrative are discussions surrounding Joe Biden's announcement of his prostate cancer diagnosis. This revelation has provoked discussions about his capabilities and stability while holding office.

The emerging health concerns combined with accusations of covering up financial crimes have fueled debates about the administration's transparency and control. The intertwining of health issues and allegations creates a complex situation for the Biden administration.

Comer alludes to possibilities where a future administration may act upon the committee's investigative findings, suggesting continuity in scrutiny regardless of current political leadership. He insists that these claims of corruption deserve a thorough investigation.

Comer's Remarks Highlight Demand for Legal Action

Speaking on the potential implications of the case, Comer remarked, while addressing Bondi's role in the potential prosecution, that if he had the capability, members of the Biden family "would be in prison." This comment underscores the gravity with which he views the situation.

This fierce stance contrasts with the general position adopted by some members of the political spectrum who resist moving forward with legal proceedings. It also punctuates the intensity of the political climate regarding perceived improprieties.

Comer expressed that Bondi "could go down in history" for proceeding with the case, labeling it a significant public concern involving a sitting president of the United States. His assertion reflects a strong belief in the necessity of addressing these claims publicly.

President Trump made good on his promise to lift sanctions on Syria's economy, ending years of crippling pressure on the war-torn nation.

The Treasury Department officially lifted sanctions Friday that barred U.S. citizens and companies from making most financial transactions with Syria.

The sanctions were imposed to pressure former dictator Bashar al-Assad, who was overthrown in December after more than a decade of civil war that uprooted millions of refugees.

Trump lifts sanctions on Syria

Trump is lifting the sanctions to help rebuild and hopefully stabilize Syria after years of brutal conflict that left the country in ruins.

The relief is being offered on the understanding that Syria "will not offer a safe haven for terrorist organizations and will ensure the security of its religious and ethnic minorities," the Treasury Department said in a press release.

"The U.S. will continue monitoring Syria’s progress and developments on the ground," the press release added.

“As President Trump promised, the Treasury Department and the State Department are implementing authorizations to encourage new investment into Syria. Syria must also continue to work towards becoming a stable country that is at peace, and today’s actions will hopefully put the country on a path to a bright, prosperous, and stable future,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.

Trump shakes up Middle East policy

Trump announced an end to the sanctions during his recent trip to the Middle East, where he called for a break with the Western "nation-building" of the past and outlined a new vision emphasizing regional autonomy.

Trump also became the first U.S. president in 25 years to meet with a Syrian leader as he met with Syria's new president, Ahmed al-Shara. The former al-Qaeda leader, who led the rebel alliance that toppled Assad, has distanced himself from jihadism, but many are skeptical of his promise to make Syria an inclusive democracy.

Since Assad fell, there have been major outbreaks of sectarian violence against religious minorities, including the Alawite sect, to which Assad belonged, and the Druze.

U.S. watching cautiously

Syria also has one of the largest Christian populations in the Middle East, and many Christians remain fearful for their safety. While minorities in Syria do not trust the new regime, Secretary of State Marco Rubio told a Senate committee last week that the country could be weeks away from a fresh civil war if the transitional government collapses.

"The bad news is that the transitional authority figures... didn't pass their background check with the FBI," he joked. "But on the flip side of it is, if we engage them, it may work out, it may not work out. If we did not engage them it was guaranteed to not work out," he added.

Concurrently with the Treasury Department's move, the State Department is waiving sanctions that Trump himself imposed under the 2019 Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act.

Rubio said in a statement that the move will "advance Syria’s recovery and reconstruction efforts” and “facilitate the provision of electricity, energy, water, and sanitation, and enable a more effective humanitarian response."

While Democrats have focused on blaming Joe Biden for their 2024 defeat, a new book highlights his vice president's role in a cover-up that eventually led to political disaster.

According to Original Sin, which chronicles the effort to hide Biden's cognitive decline, Kamala Harris had a vulgar response to being asked about Biden's disastrous debate performance on CNN.

Harris snapped at Cooper

The authors of Original Sin, Jake Tapper especially, have taken heavy criticism, with many calling their book's premise hypocritical given the liberal media's role in protecting Biden.

Biden's support from the media evaporated instantly after his horrid debate performance on CNN, which left his own party scrambling to push him off the presidential ticket. Tapper, who co-authored Original Sin with Axios' Alex Thompson, was one of the moderators of the pivotal debate between Biden and President Trump.

At the time, Harris struggled to defend Biden's "slow start" in a post-debate interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper.

“It was a slow start. That’s obvious to everyone — I’m not going to debate that point,” Harris said at the time.

In private, Harris was beside herself over what she felt to be Cooper's disrespect.

“‘This mother----- doesn’t treat me like the damn vice president of the United States," Harris said to colleagues, according to Original Sin. “I thought we were better than that.”

Set up to fail

Harris' thin-skinned reaction certainly suggests she was aware of Biden's decline and knew that it could not hold up to actual scrutiny - which Biden managed to avoid for most of his presidency with help from his media buddies.

Her response also highlights her own serious flaws as a politician, which have perhaps been overlooked in her party's post-election narrative.

After she became the new hope of the Democrats, it was quickly evident that Harris had trouble managing the expectations placed on her. She spent a long stretch of the campaign avoiding interviews, leaving her policies and personality undefined to many voters. Harris also confessed to losing sleep after Biden dropped out and even admitted to stress eating in the past to cope with Trump's 2016 victory.

Indeed, one could argue that Harris' campaign was doomed to failure much as Biden's presidency was. Simply put, she was not up to the job, but instead of being filtered out, she was given a coronation by her party and then breathlessly promoted by a compromised media.

According to a different post-election book, Harris was so convinced by the hype surrounding her candidacy that she could not process Trump's victory.

The hateful left is up in arms after President Trump exposed the appalling treatment of white farmers in South Africa during a recent Oval Office meeting - but others are praising Trump for highlighting an issue that has long been swept under the rug.

During his meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa last week, Trump played video clips of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema chanting "Kill the Boer" and imitating the sound of gunfire.

But it was Trump's calling out brutal farm murders that led to the most furious response. Trump has suggested that white farmers in South Africa are being slaughtered in a silent "genocide" as the government looks the other way.

Trump exposes South Africa

Whether or not whites in South Africa are being killed disproportionately is hotly disputed, but the vile incitement of political figures like Malema cannot be denied. It should be easy to condemn, but Ramaphosa was reluctant to do so during his sit-down with Trump.

"That is not government policy. We have a multiparty democracy in South Africa that allows people to express themselves," Ramaphosa said.

Ramaphosa's government has also enacted a new law that permits the state to seize land from white farmers. This racist policy has been dressed up as a response to lingering inequities from the time of apartheid.

Criminal incitement

In a short video, top South African rabbi Warren Goldstein said that Trump was correct to call out the "criminal incitement" that has been normalized by leaders like Malema and President Ramaphosa.

"Everyone knows it is wrong, except President Ramaphosa who has never publicly condemned the chanters' hate speech, even in the Oval Office when he had every opportunity and motive to do so," Goldstein said.

Unfortunately, tolerance of this murderous hatred is not limited to the political leadership. The Constitutional Court, which is South Africa's top court, recently issued a final ruling affirming that "Kill the Boer" is not hate speech.

Goldstein condemned the court's ruling, saying the judges should "hang their hands in shame."

Corrupt leaders fail to protect

While disagreeing with Trump that whites are the victims of "genocide," Goldstein said it is "damning" that Ramaphosa had no response other than to point out that South Africa suffers from high crime across the board. Indeed, South Africa is one of the most dangerous nations in the world, with more than 26,000 murdered in 2024.

South Africa's longtime ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC), has failed to protect blacks and whites alike, Goldstein said.

"What is happening in South Africa is a genocide. It is not a white genocide, it is not a black genocide, it is a human genocide. Every South African knows this," Rabbi Goldstein said. "Now, thanks to the spectacle in the White House, the world does too."

Whether it ought to be called a "genocide" or something else, it is clear that whites in South Africa are being targeted with violent incitement and other forms of cruel, discriminatory treatment. That should be enough to warrant the world's attention, and it more than justifies Trump's decision to accept white refugees seeking safety and peace.

On Memorial Day 2025, President Donald Trump unleashed a holiday greeting in all capital letters to Americans, including what he calls "THE SCUM."

Trump said in a lengthy post on Truth Social: "HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE SCUM THAT SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY THROUGH WARPED RADICAL LEFT MINDS, WHO ALLOWED 21,000,000 MILLION PEOPLE TO ILLEGALLY ENTER OUR COUNTRY, MANY OF THEM BEING CRIMINALS AND THE MENTALLY INSANE, THROUGH AN OPEN BORDER THAT ONLY AN INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT WOULD APPROVE, AND THROUGH JUDGES WHO ARE ON A MISSION TO KEEP MURDERERS, DRUG DEALERS, RAPISTS, GANG MEMBERS, AND RELEASED PRISONERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, IN OUR COUNTRY SO THEY CAN ROB, MURDER, AND RAPE AGAIN — ALL PROTECTED BY THESE USA HATING JUDGES WHO SUFFER FROM AN IDEOLOGY THAT IS SICK, AND VERY DANGEROUS FOR OUR COUNTRY."

"HOPEFULLY THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT, AND OTHER GOOD AND COMPASSIONATE JUDGES THROUGHOUT THE LAND, WILL SAVE US FROM THE DECISIONS OF THE MONSTERS WHO WANT OUR COUNTRY TO GO TO HELL.

"BUT FEAR NOT, WE HAVE MADE GREAT PROGRESS OVER THE LAST 4 MONTHS, AND AMERICA WILL SOON BE SAFE AND GREAT AGAIN! AGAIN, HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

Jack Posobiec of Human Events noted: "Trump is now using Memorial Day to rip into the scum who were destroying our country from within. Is this what you voted for?"

Mike Sington, a retired senior executive at NBCUniversal, said: "Trump's Memorial Day message to America is disgraceful, unhinged, and the rant of a mentally deranged madman. Just more proof he's completely unfit to hold the office of President."

There are plenty of other mixed reactions online, including:

"Ya gotta LOVE President Trump's Memorial Day Truth! And the fact that it's in ALL CAPS too… "

"On Memorial Day and every day, Donald Trump is an insult to those who died serving this nation."

"President Trump unleashed an angry tirade against the Marxist movement, destroying our country on Memorial Day. Media will attack him for 'not honoring the troops' on this solemn day, but they don't realize that's exactly what he did. Almost all of the men and women who fought and died for America sacrificed everything to protect a country they loved. A country based on the rule of law with strong borders, ethical judges, legitimate elections, free speech, and the American Dream. They didn't die for Marxists who hate our country and want to destroy it from within. President Trump and his voters know this, and that's his message on Memorial Day is so well said. God bless the troops that gave up everything to keep America Free. May we ensure our country truly is free so that their sacrifices were not made in vain."

"F*** Trump's entire message. Tone deaf, self-indulgent, and a slap in the face to veterans. 'Happy' Memorial Day. F***ing clown."

"Trump could've just stopped at Happy Memorial Day."

During a brief gaggle with journalists on Sunday, President Donald Trump shredded a "fake news" reporter as he lamented about Russian President Vladmiir Putin's continued bombing of Ukraine.

Trump began his analysis in Morristown, New Jersey, saying: "I'm not happy with what Putin's doing. He's killing a lot of people and I don't know what the hell happened to Putin.

"I've known him a long time, always gotten along with him, but he's sending rockets into cities and killing people. And I don't like it at all! OK?

"We're in the middle of talking and he's shooting rockets into Kyiv and other cities. I don't like it at all. I'm surprised, very surprised."

That's when a reporter asked Trump: "Mr. President, what do you want to do about that?"

Trump replied: "We'll see what we're gonna do. What, am I gonna tell you? You're the fake news, aren't you? You're totally fake."

The president then resumed his opinion about Russian aggression: "I don't like what Putin's doing, not even a little bit. He's killing people. And something happened to this guy, and I don't like it!"

The comments about Putin come in the wake of a massive drone and missile barrage against Ukraine overnight Saturday into Sunday, killing at least 12 people and injuring dozens more.

The New York Times called it "an hourslong assault that Ukrainian officials said showed Moscow had no interest in a truce.

"It was the second large-scale attack in two nights and the third in just a week, part of a broader, recent escalation by Russia that has brought a spike in civilian casualties despite cease-fire negotiations. Ukraine has also stepped up its own air attacks on Russian territory, though on a smaller scale and with far fewer civilian deaths."

Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine's foreign affairs minister, said: "A difficult Sunday morning in Ukraine after a sleepless night. The most massive Russian air attack in many weeks lasted all night.

"Russia launched hundreds of drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles into Ukrainian cities and communities during the night, injuring and killing people, including at least three children.

"When the entire world calls for an end to the killing, Putin orders even more strikes, attacks, and murders of children.

"This once again emphasizes the imperative of a full, unconditional, and durable ceasefire for any meaningful peace effort. The world must pressure Russia to accept it and put an end to the killings immediately."

It seems that some Democrats have not learned from the fiasco of the 2024 presidential campaign that the more they go after Trump with lawfare and political stunts like impeachment, the more popular he gets.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) promised on MSNBC on Sunday that House Democrats would investigate the Trump family "when" they get the majority back.

It's not a done deal that Democrats will regain the House majority in 2026, but the margin is small and the party out of power usually gains seats in the midterm elections.

In response to a question from host Alex Witt, Crockett said, "So long as we end up taking the House, which I fully anticipate that we will do, and we are going to work hard to obviously help our senate colleagues as well, then as someone who serves on the Oversight Committee and hopes to lead the Oversight Committee, I can guarantee you that we will do what we are supposed to do as constitutionally sworn members of the House, which means that we will conduct oversight.”

Going after Trump

Crockett clarified what she meant by oversight, promising to go after the Trump family, specifically its efforts to get into the crypto business but also any other attempts to make money in any way whatsover.

“That means that we will investigate," she promised. "We will look at whether or not this president himself has violated the Emoluments Clause as it relates to say such things as getting a $400 million plane from the Qataris. We also will make sure that we’re looking into all these business deals that they have going on. I mean, think about it this way, Alex. they were going after Hunter because he sat on a board. Think about how much money they are raking, raking in, whether we’re talking about the next golf resort that they’re setting up in Qatar or whether we’re talking about them leveling Gaza, as they’ve talked about and talked about how it would be great beachfront property, whether we’re talking about this crypto scam, the scam that people didn’t even want to walk into and show their faces.”

Basically, Democrats like her want to run the Trumps out of town on a rail for being entrepreneurs.

It's typical of that party, which has made it clear it is against entrepreneurship, especially by those they don't agree with politically.

Violations

Crockett added, “Let me tell you, there is no shortage of things for us to dig into and determine whether or not there have been not only violations of the law, but definitely violations of our Constitution as a whole.”

It seems very one-sided to accuse Trump of violating laws and the Constitution but completely ignore the mountain of evidence against former President Joe Biden and act like he did nothing wrong by having his family take payouts from the Chinese and other nations.

It's typical of Democrats, who engaged in lawfare against Trump and got their allies in the courts to indict him four times on charges that no other former president has faced, even for similar or worse actions.

The American people rejected these spurious charges by electing Trump to another term as president, and they will reject any future efforts as well.

If Democrats want Trump to be even more popular than ever before, they should keep investigating him and his family for doing nothing more than other leaders and officials have done.

They will only lose by treating him the way they have.

Senate Democrats are attempting to block a cryptocurrency bill at the 11th hour, citing concerns that it could allow President Donald Trump and other conservatives to profit corruptly from the initiative.

According to Axios, a group of Democrat senators on Friday convinced Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to back an amendment to the bill that would prevent the president and other officials from profiting from stablecoins, which are regulated by the bill.

The Democrats are bothered by Trump and other Republicans' crypto ventures, and are worried they could have too much influence over the crypto markets without the amendment.

Schumer, along with Sens. Elizabeth Warren (MA) and Jeff Merkley (OR), will file the amendment.

"Selling access?"

It was also co-sponsored by Sens. Gary Peters (D-MI), Jack Reed (D-RI), Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Michael Bennet (D-CO).

"Passing the GENIUS Act without our anti-corruption amendment stamps a Congressional seal of approval on Trump selling access and influence to the highest bidder," Merkley told Axios.

As usual, Democrats are greatly exaggerating the potential of what could happen.

Also, are congressional politicians allowed to profit from stablecoins? The bill did not appear to exempt them from it the same way as the president is exempted.

As always, the less government control and involvement in Americans' business ventures, the better.

Another viewpoint

Not all Democrats are involved in this push, however.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) believes the bill should be passed as-is, even if Trump uses the technology corruptly.

“The stablecoin market has reached nearly $250 billion and the U.S. can’t afford to keep standing on the sidelines," Warner said in a statement Monday. "We need clear rules of the road to protect consumers, defend national security, and support responsible innovation. The GENIUS Act is a meaningful step forward. It sets high standards for issuers, limits big tech overreach, and creates a safer, more transparent framework for digital assets. It’s not perfect, but it’s far better than the status quo.

He added: "We cannot allow that corruption to blind us to the broader reality: blockchain technology is here to stay. If American lawmakers don’t shape it, others will – and not in ways that serve our interests or democratic values. Innovation in this space is happening, with or without us. We have a responsibility to ensure it happens safely, transparently, and in a way that advances U.S. economic and national security interests. The GENIUS Act will help get us started.”

At least four Democrats would have to vote against the bill if the amendment fails in order to derail it, so we'll see what happens in the coming days.
