President Donald Trump ordered one of the most amazing military strikes in modern U.S. history, and while most Democrats are hopping mad about it, one high-profile Pennsylvania Democrat has different feelings from his party.
According to Breitbart, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) bucked his party's messaging on Trump's strikes on Iran's nuclear facility and called it the "correct move."
Fetterman has been an ardent supporter and backer of Israel, much to the dismay of his fellow Democrats, especially the radical, pro-Palestinian types.
The Pennsylvania senator is one of the few Democrats in the party able to think and speak logically about hot-button issues without resorting to the party's talking point playbook, which is usually something anti-Trump.
Fetterman made his stance on the U.S.-led bombing run on Iran's nuclear facilities crystal clear in an X post the day after the attack occurred.
"As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS. Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities. I’m grateful for and salute the finest military in the world," Fetterman wrote.

Trump had previously kept his attack plans close to his vest, especially as reporters peppered him with questions over the past two weeks regarding what he was going to do.
"You don’t seriously think I’m going to answer that question? ‘Will you strike the Iranian nuclear component, and what time exactly, Sir? Sir, would you strike it? Would you please inform us so we can be there and watch?” Trump said, mocking a reporter who pestered him about a timeline.
Trump and his closest allies were praised by many for pulling off the extremely complex and tightly coordinated attack on Iran.
Fetterman's post agreeing that Trump made the right move drew plenty of feedback from his followers and others.
"Please resign and run as a republican. Let us nominate a real Democrat," one presumably angry Democrat wrote on X.
Another X user wrote, "Senator. I have a lot of respect for you and yes it needed to be done. Are we prepared for the reaction?"
The world watches and waits to see if and when Iran will retaliate, and what that will ultimately mean for the country.
A business visionary responsible for creating one of America's most ubiquitous corporate enterprises back in the 1970s has passed away at the age of 80.
As the New York Post reports, FedEx founder and former CEO Frederick Smith has died, news revealed in a memo posted on the company's website by current CEO Raj Subramaniam.
While an undergraduate student at Yale University, Smith came to the conclusion while writing a paper for a business course that the burgeoning computer industry would spur the need for a nimble, reliable logistics and delivery system.
Seeing the potential for unlimited growth in this realm, Smith set about creating the shipping and delivery system that would become a household name, launching Federal Express in 1973.
Smith's innovative idea relied on the notion that a hub-and-spoke network would be far more efficient than a point-to-point model.
For that, both airplanes as well as trucks would be necessary, and therefore, he would need to raise massive amounts of capital to get the network up and running, a challenge he accepted and at which he succeeded.
Though his new company ran at a loss for its first 26 months, Smith's venture, now known as FedEx, boasts an estimated value of more than $16 billion and operates a fleet of 705 airplanes, in excess of 200,000 vehicles, and 5,000 facilities of its own.
Despite being the scion of a prominent and well-to-do southern family, as well as a graduate of an Ivy League University, Smith pointed to his military service as perhaps the greatest key to his success, as the Associated Press notes.
Smith joined the Marines after completing his studies at Yale, going into the service as a second lieutenant and leaving as a captain after two tours in Vietnam.
While in the Marines, Smith was decorated not just for his bravery but also for combat wounds sustained.
It was his time in the armed forces, Smith said to the AP in a 2023 interview, not his time at Yale, that fueled his success with FedEx.
His appreciation for the military was made evident by his recent gift to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation for the purpose of endowing a fund for the sons and daughters of Navy veterans pursuing STEM-related studies.
In informing FedEx staff of Smith's passing, Subramaniam stated, “Fred was more than just the pioneer of an industry and the founder of our great company. He was a mentor to many and a source of inspiration to all.”
Those sentiments were echoed by U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN), who declared, “Memphis has lost its most important citizen, Fred Smith. FedEx is the engine of our economy, and Fred Smith was its visionary founder. But more than that, he was a dedicated citizen who cared deeply about our city,” and that is a legacy of which any Tennessean -- or American -- would be proud.
As tensions continued to rise in the Middle East, Americans present in the region were forced to contemplate the possibility of further escalation and make plans to get themselves to safety.
Further evidence of the sense of urgency that has been taking hold amid the Israel-Iran conflict came Saturday when it was revealed that the State Department began evacuations of American citizens and permanent residents from Israel and the West Bank, as USA Today reports.
The push to evacuate Americans from the increasingly fraught region was announced by U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee.
Taking to X to explain the situation, Huckabee wrote, “The Department of State has begun assisted departure flights from Israel.”
The ambassador declared that those interested in departing the area should complete a form provided by the State Department in order to receive assistance, as well as timely updates on the process.
On Saturday, Huckabee added that the embassy team was “working around the clock to assist American citizens wishing to depart.”
The timely nature of the situation appeared to be underscored when the ambassador added, “I strongly encourage you to...take the first option available to you.”
Despite the obvious difficulties of coordinating evacuations amid rising tensions and potential escalation of attacks, Huckabee's steadfast support for President Donald Trump's handling of the situation was clear.
Last week, the ambassador sent a message directly to the president outlining his belief in the administration's approach to the threat posed by Iran and its commitment to Israel, a communication later highlighted by the White House itself on X.
Huckabee stated his belief that “God spared” Trump last July during the Butler, Pennsylvania assassination attempt so that he could go on to become “the most consequential President in a century -- maybe ever.”
Affirming the trust he has in Trump's instincts, Huckabee added, “I believe you will hear from heaven and that voice is far more important than mine or ANYONE else's.”
While helping facilitate the evacuation of Americans from the danger zone, the ambassador told Trump, “You sent me to Israel to be your eyes, ears and voice and to make sure our flag flies above our embassy. My job is to be the last one to leave. I will not abandon this post. Our flag will NOT come down! You did not seek this moment. This moment sought YOU!”
As the evacuation effort in Israel appeared to foreshadow, the Trump administration on Saturday announced that the U.S. military had carried out attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, activating a “large B-2 strike package comprised of bombers launched from the continental United States.”
Speaking to the nation after the mission, Trump declared the rogue nation's key uranium enrichment sites to have been “completely and totally obliterated,” as Axios noted, in an apparent vindication of Huckabee's expression of utmost confidence, but where things go from here, only time will tell.
President Donald Trump's plans to strike Iranian nuclear facilities without putting troops on the ground have the backing of the American people.
A new poll from Rasmussen Reports found that a plurality of Americans favor a U.S. air or naval strike on Iran to destroy its nuclear program without putting troops on the ground and engaging in a military operation to force regime change in Tehran.
This poll is particularly relevant after the announcement from the White House on Saturday evening that the U.S. Air Force had conducted airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites, including the underground Fordow nuclear site.
Leading up to the strikes, the opinion of the American people has been fairly static, with strong support for military strikes but strong opposition to a ground war reminiscent of the Gulf War or the war in Afghanistan.
Trump appears to recognize this desire and is going to extreme lengths to decapitate the threat that Iran presents while avoiding a costly ground war that would risk American lives.
Israel is doing a majority of the heavy lifting, as they have thoroughly destroyed Iran's air forces and air defense equipment. Furthermore, Israel is using its air superiority to destroy Iran's ballistic missile capabilities.
As a result of Israel's dominance of Iran, American bombers faced little to no danger of being shot down, meaning there was little reason not to take advantage of the situation and destroy Iran's nuclear facilities after decades of sabre-rattling.
The Rasmussen Reports poll found that a plurality of Americans also support Israel's war against Iran, which is a fundamentalist Islamic state that sponsors terrorism in the Middle East.
If Iran had been allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, there was a high chance that Iran would allow their terrorist proxies to use such weapons, most likely against Israel.
The need to destroy Iran's nuclear research has existed for years, but it wasn't until Israel decapitated Iran's air capabilities that striking Iran's facilities became a safe bet.
Trump appears to have accomplished that goal by deploying B-2 bombers carrying advanced weapons designed to penetrate and destroy underground facilities. The next step for Trump will be resisting calls from war hawks and Israel to put boots on the ground and keep Americans happy.
While the U.S. gets to sit back and surgically destroy Iran's nuclear facilities, it remains Israel's war to topple the fundamentalist regime in Tehran. While the Trump administration will support Israel materially, Trump is committed to keeping U.S. troops out of harm's way.
The key priority for Trump is to avoid kicking off a decades-long war in the Middle East where American lives are sacrificed for fruitless nation-building.
Iran has a standing army and is a highly defensible region, meaning that a conventional war was never an option, but none of that will be necessary. All of this is great news and further cements Trump's masterful reputation in foreign policy.
California, like Illinois and a handful of other deep blue states, have some of the most ridiculous gun laws on the books.
According to Breitbart, at least one of those ridiculous laws was trashed this week after the Second Amendment Foundation won a crucial court victory squashing California's gun-rationing law.
The law allowed law-abiding citizens in California to purchase only one firearm every 30 days, making it one of the most strict -- and stupid -- gun laws in the entire United States. Thankfully, the decision to quash it was upheld by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
The decision marks a major win for the Second Amendment Foundation -- and thousands of law-abiding gun owners in California, who no longer have to wait 30 days to purchase a new firearm.
Breitbart noted that the original case was brought by a group of gun owners and organizations, including FFL license holders.
The case, Nguyen v. Bonta, was brought by SAF, the Firearms Policy Coalition, Inc., and San Diego County Gun Owners PAC, two FFL gun dealers, and six private citizens including Michelle Nguyen.
The Ninth Circuit's panel that upheld the lower court's decision had judge Danielle J. Forrest write the majority opinion on the matter.
"California has a 'one-gun-a-month' law that prohibits most people from buying more than one firearm in a 30-day period. The district court held that this law violates the Second Amendment. We affirm," the judge wrote.
Judge Forrest added, "California’s law is facially unconstitutional because possession of multiple firearms and the ability to acquire firearms through purchase without meaningful constraints are protected by the Second Amendment and California’s law is not supported by our nation’s tradition of firearms regulation."
SAF executive director Adam Kraut commented on the court's ruling.
"Today’s decision claws back a portion of Second Amendment rights stolen by California’s government," Kraut said.
He added, "California’s one-gun-per-month law was in clear violation of the Second Amendment, as affirmed by the unanimous decision in the Ninth Circuit. This ruling is one step closer to liberating the people of the state from the totalitarian ideals of those in power who believe the right to keep and bear arms is a second-class right."
Under President Donald Trump, there's a steady uptick of court decisions going in favor of Americans' Second Amendment rights.
If such an asinine law can be shot down in California, it gives great hope that other anti-gun laws can be erased in other states -- even blue ones.
Only time will tell what the next anti-gun law will be to fall at the hands of the court.
There continues to be a steady stream of high-profile and veteran Democratic operatives who are ready to admit that their party is absolutely broken, and are willing to blame their own for the Joe Biden fiasco.
According to Breitbart, one of those is former Hillary Clinton 2008 presidential campaign manager Solis Doyle, who held nothing back when she described the Democratic Party as "leaderless" and "agendaless" following Biden's defeat.
She also highlighted the mistakes made by the party in its attempts to cover up Biden's obvious cognitive decline, which ultimately cost him his reelection chances and probably contributed to the party's downfall in 2024.
Doyle told Mark Halperin that she was more than happy to take a step away from politics due to what's happening within the ranks of the Democratic Party.
Doyle, a high-level Democratic operative, held nothign back when she described her frustrations with the party.
"I have never been happier not to be actually in it — in the middle of politics — than I am right now, because it sounds really depressing, what’s going on at the party," she said.
She added, "The other problem that they have is that there’s no real leader. If your party holds the White House, the leader of the party is the president. If your party doesn’t hold the White House, the leader of the party is the last president of that party."
That's definitely not the case for Democrats, as Biden has scarcely made an appearance since being run out of the White House, nor has former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Doyle emphasized the fact that Biden is pretty much non-existent around Washington D.C. since Harris lost the election.
"So right now, for us, that’s Joe Biden. But he has completely — he’s off the radar completely … So right now, we’re leaderless, we’re messageless, we’re agendaless," Doyle said.
Doyle, who also worked on the campaigns of Barack Obama and Joe Biden, said she's very concerned about the state of the Dem Party.
"We don’t have any alternative ideas to the president’s and the Republicans’ right now. So I’m concerned to say the least," Doyle said.
“Right now, we’re leaderless, we’re messageless, we’re agendaless…”

It'll be interesting to see the next round of veteran Dem operatives who are willing to tell the ugly truth about the state of the Democratic Party.
As promised during his campaign, President Donald Trump just took a big axe to former President Barack Obama's legacy by making significant changes to his signature Obamacare legislation.
According to The Hill, on Friday, the Trump administration made several critical changes to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including shortening the annual open enrollment period.
Another massive change to Obamacare was that it can no longer cover immigrants who came to the United States illegally as children, which completely reversed former President Joe Biden's expansions and extensions of the program.
Under Biden, the ACA was heavily expanded and as a result, saw a record number of sign-ups during his time in the White House. Trump argues that the expansions simply opened the program up to record levels of fraud.
The enrollment period modification is one of the most impactful changes made to the ACA by the Trump administration .
The Hill noted:
According to the rule, the federal open enrollment period will run from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31. Currently, federal open enrollment ends Jan. 15.
States operating their own health insurance exchanges will have the flexibility to set their open enrollments, so long as they run no longer than nine weeks between the November and December dates.
Coverage for "Dreamers," or those who came to the United States illegal as children and were given protected status, will also be terminated under Trump's new rules for the program.

Other changes made to Obamacare revolve around "gender-affirming" care rules and procedures.
The Hill added:
The administration also banned plans from covering “sex-trait modification” as an essential health benefit beginning in plan year 2026. The policy will apply to the five states that currently include coverage for gender-affirming care, as well as in states that do not have such coverage expressly mentioned.
The rule changes are expected to save the United States billions by "reining in wasteful federal spending, and refocusing on making health insurance markets more affordable and sustainable for hardworking American families."
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services project that an estimated $12 billion will be saved by next year alone.
Not surprisingly, Democrats reacted negatively to the changes.
It'll be interesting to see if there's anything left of the ACA over the coming years under Trump.

Israel and Iran are at war.
Leaders of the small Middle East democracy are worried about their continued existence, amid Iranian threats to wipe the country off the map, and are insistent the rogue Islamic regime cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons, which could do just that.
President Donald Trump is being pushed both directions, from one side to get America involved and just end the continued threat from Iran. The other side says it's not America's fight and he must stay out.
Then there's Russia and Ukraine still launching rockets, blowing up things and killing people in a war that's gone on for years already.
Further, China is threatening Taiwan, and there's war in Africa.
Franklin Graham, chief of the worldwide Christian ministry Samaritan's Purse, has posted online a simple request.
"Will you join me in lifting up President Donald J. Trump in prayer?"
He explained, "From our earthly view, we see ominous storm clouds gathered around the globe. With Iran and Israel engaged in war, Russia and Ukraine in continued deadly conflict, China imposing an imminent threat to Taiwan, war in Sudan, and more, it seems as though the whole world is on the brink of fracturing."
He said, "Our President needs wisdom and strength from God. The decisions he is called upon to make will affect each one of us, our country, and the entire world. I pray that God will direct his steps as he leads our nation through the most turbulent times we have experienced in decades."
Graham then quoted Matthew 24:7, "The Bible tells us, 'For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.'"

President Donald Trump long has been critical of various U.S. government-funded media projects, such as the public broadcasting network, Voice of America and such.
He's described them as state-funded propaganda because of their serious leftist bias and advocacy.
And one of his goals for his second term in the White House is the elimination, or at least reduction, of that.
On Friday, a major step was taken in that direction.
Kari Lake, the Trump administration senior adviser working with those projects, confirmed a massive layoff program at the U.S. Agency for Global Media.
The layoffs hit that agency, as well as Voice of America. Hundreds of jobs are being terminated.
"This move follows USAGM's firing of more than 500 contractors last month. It spells the death of 83 years of independent journalism that upholds U.S. ideals of democracy and freedom around the world," claimed several VOA staff members who went to court to try to keep their salaries.
It was a victory for Trump.
"When Trump signed an order in March to drastically shrink USAGM and several other federal agencies, the president and his pick to run VOA, Kari Lake, depicted U.S.-funded international broadcasting as biased, bloated and obsolete," a report from the legacy media claimed.
A report at Just the News said Lake confirmed, "USAGM now operates near the statutory minimum; lean and focused. This is a clear example of responsible government—cutting waste, restoring accountability, and delivering on the promise to put American taxpayers first."
Lake continued, "Today, we took decisive action to effectuate President Trump's agenda to shrink the out-of-control federal bureaucracy."
She explained USAGM sent notices to 639 workers, and that leaves the total workforce at about 1,400, down by more than 80% from years gone by.
Congress separately has been developed a plan that would defund, essentially, PBS, NPR and CPB
President Donald Trump took a swipe at Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard over her "wrong" assertion that Iran isn't building nuclear weapons, Newsmax reported. This was the second time in the same week that Trump publicly contradicted her.
Israel and Iran are locked in a war that's escalating by the day. Israel contends that Iran has been enriching enough uranium to build a bomb, thus justifying its preemptive action.
The White House has gone with the messaging that Iran simply "cannot have a nuclear weapon," as it's clear that the administration may be looking to get the U.S. more involved. Meanwhile, Gabbard has consistently reported that intelligence suggests Iran does not have the bomb.
This undermines the messaging coming from the White House, so the press has asked Trump about it. Twice this week, the president made it clear that he doesn't believe his director of national intelligence and will likely move based on his own suspicions about Iran.
Trump took questions from the press after landing in New Jersey on Friday. The president, who notoriously opposed the Iraq War, is beginning to make arguments suspiciously like the "weapons of mass destruction" line that justified that war.
A reporter first asked Trump about the similarity, but the president argued that it's different this time. "What intelligence do you have that Iran is building a nuclear weapon? Your intelligence community had said they have no evidence that they are at this point," a reporter asked.
"Well, then, my intelligence community is wrong. Who in the intelligence community said that?" Trump replied.
When the reporter clarified that it is his "director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard," Trump did not hesitate to double down on his assertion. "Well, she’s wrong," Trump said.
Friday's comment was just the latest that broke with Gabbard. The national security director's testimony before Congress in March noted that Iran's "Supreme Leader Khomeini has not authorized the nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003."
On Tuesday, Trump was asked about her assessment and contradicted her statements from that testimony. "I don’t care what she said. I think they were very close to having one," Trump said.
For her part, Gabbard maintains that Trump is not in disagreement with her. "President Trump was saying the same thing that I said in my annual threat assessment back in March in Congress," Gabbard claimed when asked to respond to Trump's earlier comment.
"Unfortunately, too many people in the media don’t care to actually read what I said," Gabbard added. However, it's difficult to believe that the two are in lock step after Trump was caught telling the world that Gabbard is wrong.
There is a great deal of conflicting messaging surrounding this conflict as it continues to unfold. The one saving grace is that Trump has historically been averse to war, and it's likely he will do all he can to keep the U.S. out of harm's way.
