Country superstar Carrie Underwood opened up to allow her fans a small glimpse into the pain she has suffered over the last couple of years.
Unbeknownst to many of her fans, Underwood suffered three miscarriages over the last two years.
Time for Mourning
Far too often, a miscarriage is dismissed as nothing more than a medical correction by the body.
People almost shrug them off as though they are no big deal.
Anyone that has suffered through a miscarriage, though, knows that is far from the case.
The moment the expecting mother and father hear that first heartbeat, their lives are changed forever.
Then, suddenly, it is all taken away.
Make no mistake about it, suffering through a miscarriage is just as heartbreaking as any death for the parents and family members.
And, just as any other death, it takes time to recover and mourn.
Underwood has always been the epitome of class during her career.
It is no wonder, then, that she could not figure out why this was happening to her.
She first got pregnant in 2017, only to lose the baby.
It would happen again later that year as well as in early 2018.
It brought Underwood to think, “Ok, like, what’s the deal?”
Underwood is married, has one child, and a successful career, but the loss of life saddened her noticeably.
All the while, though, Underwood had to put on a happy face and go out to do her job.
Finally, Underwood focused her emotions and put out an album, “Cry Pretty,” that showed the world the emotional rollercoaster she has been on the last two years.
Thankfully, Underwood got pregnant again and so far, everything looks good.
We can only hope and pray it stays that way and Underwood is blessed with her second child.
