Now that Robert Mueller’s investigation has concluded with no indictments for Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson is demanding action by the man in the White House.
The embattled Fox News host has called on the president to pardon Roger Stone, who was indicted as part of Mueller’s probe in January on seven counts including obstruction of justice and witness tampering.
Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation resulted in more than 30 indictments — but not one of them was related to collusion, at least as far as Trump allies are concerned.
One of the men who was indicted during the investigation, however, was Roger Stone. And Carlson wants him pardoned by Trump as soon as possible.
“What about the victims of this monstrosity? Roger Stone is facing life in prison,” Carlson said. “All to find collusion. But there was no collusion. Stone is still looking at life in prison. Where is Roger Stone’s pardon? His pardon from the president? Let’s hope it comes very soon.”
Unfortunately for Stone, that pardon is likely not on the table — at least not yet.
Trump is still not completely out of hot water, as there may be some tangential investigations about his business practices among Democrats in Congress who are unhappy with Mueller’s findings.
If Trump were to pardon Stone, it would more than likely be at the end of his presidency, as he will want to avoid any problems the move would cause with Democrats.
Democrats demanded accountability for Trump’s alleged wrongdoings during the 2016 presidential campaign. And soon after Trump moved into the Oval Office, they got their investigation — but it only proved that Democrats were crying wolf.
With the collusion investigation now over, and nobody in Trump’s camp having been indicted for collusion, shouldn’t those who were crying the loudest be accountable?
Two California Congressman — Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell — have been hammering Trump from day one about collusion. Both have gone on live TV to tell viewers there was more than enough evidence to indict Trump on collusion.
That is not the case, however.
They have been lying to voters for two years. Where is the accountability for them?
