Fox News host Tucker Carlson launched an attack on Joe Biden on Monday, accusing the Democrat White House hopeful of giving what “may have been the most thoroughly dishonest speech ever given by a major presidential candidate” in Pittsburgh earlier that day.
According to Fox News, Carlson said “virtually every word of” Biden’s 24-minute speech “was the opposite of the truth.”
“It was literally beyond belief,” the prime-time host told viewers, according to Fox.
Biden’s pack of lies
A major selling point of Biden’s media-acclaimed speech was that he had finally — only three months too late — issued a condemnation of the looting and rioting that has been seen amid what was supposed to be peaceful protests against police brutality, which have swept the country since late May.
But the former vice president didn’t once in his remarks call out the groups responsible for the violence. Instead, he pointed to President Donald Trump.
“His failure to call on his own supporters to stop acting as an armed militia in this country shows how weak he is,” Biden said of the president, according to a transcript from Rev. “Does anyone believe there’ll be less violence in America if Donald Trump is re-elected?”
“It’s a threat”
According to Breitbart, Carlson called out Biden’s delay on his Monday program, saying his criticism comes too little, too late.
“For three months, Joe Biden’s voters have trashed our country. They have looted our cities, burned buildings, beaten and killed dozens of people,” Carlson said, according to Breitbart.
He went on:
For three months, Joe Biden and his advisers have done their best to ignore it all and pretend it wasn’t happening. The same people who lecture you that silence is violence said virtually nothing about the riots in our streets. In fact, they threatened anyone who talked about them, who mentioned the arson, the stealing, and the vandalism, anyone who in any way questioned the tactics of the mob.
The Fox host also called out Biden’s line about there not being “less violence in America if Donald Trump is re-elected.”
“That’s not an observation, obviously. It’s a threat,” Carlson said, as Breitbart reported. “And it wasn’t a mistake either. It’s not a line he just blurted out. That line was in Biden’s prepared remarks. His campaign tweeted it out later. They were proud of it.
“This is the official message of the Biden campaign. If you dare re-elect Donald Trump, prepare for more rioting,” Carlson added. “You think Biden voters are dangerous now? Wait until see them in Trump’s second term.”
