It’s a rare happy ending to a heartbreaking story.
After enduring major surgery for injuries suffered in a tragic car accident, State Representative and congressional candidate Katie Arrington is finally heading home.
It seems like it was forever ago, but the crash just happened in June.
A car was driving down a highway going the wrong way when it hit Arrington’s vehicle head-on.
Arrington suffered a fractured back, broken ribs, and had to have portions of both her small intestine and colon removed.
The driver of the other vehicle died in the collision.
At the time, the situation seemed dire, but family and friends were not about to give up hope.
Now, roughly three weeks later, Arrington is headed home.
Still in Pain
While she is recovering well, make no mistake about it: Arrington says she is still in significant pain.
And, while she plans on getting back out on the campaign trail, she still has a long road to go in terms of recovering from her injuries.
Arrington stated, “This campaign has never stopped for me.”
“This is hard work and perseverance to get to Washington to represent this community, this district, and this nation and it hasn’t stopped,” Arrington added.
Of her injuries, Arrington stated, “No facial trauma, no neurological damage, and there is no reason why other than God. I may look good on the outside, but I am still in a great deal of pain.”
Arrington will no doubt not only get the support of the voters in South Carolina but also of conservatives around the country.
She is a Trump-backed candidate, so she is vital in Trump’s quest to Make America Great Again.
Hers is a true story of courage and we cannot wait to see her take her seat in Congress very soon.
