Buses Hurriedly Sent to Martha’s Vineyard to Collect Migrants from Wealthy Enclave

Buses were hurriedly dispatched Friday to Martha’s Vineyard, that enclave of very wealthy residents including Barack Obama, to remove migrants, largely from Venezuela, who crossed came into the United States illegally under Joe Biden’s open borders policies.

The rich residents of the leftist community erupted in outrage when about 50 of the migrants arrived a day earlier, through a program set up by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to spread the burden of caring for the millions of illegals who have arrived in the U.S. since Biden took office and demolished President Trump’s border security plans, including a Remain-in-Mexico practice and construction of a border wall.

While Kamala Harris, vice president, has claimed the border is secure, other immigrants dropped off at her Washington neighborhood and interviewed, confirmed that it is wide open.

It is the Washington Examiner that reported the arrival at Martha’s Vineyard of several buses sent to pick up the immigrants, who told reporters they do not know where they were being taken.

Fox News reported that officials at Martha’s Vineyard had immediately declared a “humanitarian crisis” when the immigrants arrived, prompting social media to poke fun at the rich residents, whose homes often are worth a million dollars or more.

Local officials posted on social media, “To our Island community, here is an update on the current humanitarian crisis on Martha’s Vineyard….we thank people for their continued help,” prompting Twitter users to respond.

“Washington Examiner columnist Becket Adams tweeted, ‘i’m sorry, putting out a public notice of this nature for an influx of *50* people is objectively funny. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE,'” the Fox report said. “X Strategies LLC senior digital strategist Greg Price wrote, ‘They’re declaring 50 people being flown to a town that takes thousands of visitors per year a humanitarian crisis.'”

And Jason Buttrill, a former Department of Defense intel analyst, said, “So now it’s a ‘crisis.’ Border states would like to welcome the coastal elite to the crisis.”

DeSantis, along with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, previously had dispatched buses loaded with illegal aliens to Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C., so that the burden of caring for them could be spread across the country.

Since Biden took office, there have been an estimated nearly four million illegals arrive in the U.S. and the burden has fallen on those border states.

Moving them around isn’t new to the governors either. Biden’s federal bureaucracy earlier was delivering planes loaded with illegal alien minors to various state locations.

Leftists reacted as expected. Fox reported NBC’s Chuck Todd claimed it was “inhumane” to deliver migrants to the rich community that includes Obama’s $12 million estate.

And Axios reported Biden will be working on “litigation options” to protect those wealthy individuals from further encounters with immigrants.

Biden, himself, accused Republicans of “playing politics with human beings” and said the GOP was “un-American, it’s reckless.”

Those comments were followed only by days of his accusation that conservatives and Republicans are “semi-fascists.”

DeSantis said the migrants should end up in those locations that have called themselves “sanctuary” cities and states. “We are not a ‘sanctuary’ state,” he said of Florida.

He continued, “Biden would fly people in the middle of the night, dump them across this country. There was no warning on any of this and all those people in D.C. and New York were beating their chests when Trump was president, saying they were so proud to be ‘sanctuary’ jurisdictions, saying how bad it was to have a secure border. The minute even a small fracture of what those border towns deal with every day is brought to their front [door] they all of a sudden go berserk and they’re so upset that this is happening.”

Fox reported that a “homeless coordinator” in Martha’s Vineyard was blunt about the situation.

Lisa Belcastro told reporters, “We don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants, and we certainly don’t have housing. We can’t house everyone here that lives here and works here.”

Abbott’s office responded to the Democrats’ comments by saying the White House was led by the “Hypocrite-in-Chief.”

“The White House is full of a bunch of hypocrites, led by the Hypocrite-in-Chief who has been flying planeloads of migrants across the country and oftentimes in the cover of night,” Abbott’s Press Secretary Renae Eze told Fox News Digital.
