The dangerous situation at our southern border has once again been thrust into the limelight.

On Tuesday, an Arizona Border Patrol agent was shot and taken to a local hospital.

The Shooting

According to reports, the agent was shot early in the morning hours on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred about 10 miles off the Mexican border.

So far, the agency has not released any information about the agent’s identity, nor have they released any information about the agent’s condition.

Homeland Security, however, has stated that several individuals have been taken into custody related to the shooting incident.

Rash of Attacks

2018 has been a rough year for border patrol agents.

So far, the agency has reported a total of 179 assault incidents against agents.

Border Security

While liberals and Democrats in office would have us believe something different, border security in this country is porous right now.

President Donald Trump has been trying to get more funding for both agents and border security since the first day he took office.

But Democrats in office have not only been fighting him — they are actually working to help undocumented immigrants.

Most recently, a video of the mayor of Philadelphia has been circulating showing him dancing around his office after the courts allowed the city to remain a sanctuary city.

Of course, Philadelphia also happens to be one of the many liberal cities boasting this status that is overrun with crime.

Sooner or later, people will wake up and realize undocumented immigration, crime, and attacks on our border agents all go hand in hand.

Until then, we will unfortunately see more and more of these stories involving our border agents under attack.
