Osama bin Laden’s son killed in counterterrorism operation, Trump confirms

On May 2, 2011, Americans finally received justice for what happened on 9/11.

And on Saturday, President Trump confirmed that the heir to the terrorist throne, Hamza bin Laden, has, like his father, been taken out by a counterterrorism operation.

Like Father, Like Son

As we all know, Osama bin Laden was the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks that devasted this country and changed it forever.

After nearly a decade of hunting him down, a SEAL team finally got payback on May 2, 2011, when Osama bin Laden was shot and killed during an operation.

As we rid the world of one terrorist, another was born in Hamza bin Laden. Hamza would have been about 12 years old when his father sent planes into the Twin Towers and would have just turned 21 when his father was killed by our SEAL team.

He was the natural heir to the throne and by all accounts, he was eerily similar to his father. When OBL was killed, his son took over many of the responsibilities of his father.

Rumors of His Death

At the end of July, rumors started to surface that Hamza had been killed during an operation, but they were only rumors.

On Saturday, President Trump confirmed the rumors that have been swirling around for almost two months now… Hamza bin Laden is dead.

Considering the role Hamza filled for Al Qaeda, the future of the terrorist organization is now in jeopardy. While other leaders will step up to fill his role, the leadership he provided as well as being the symbol of the organization his father started is now gone.

Neither President Trump nor White House officials would go into detail as to exactly how or when Hamza was killed other than to confirm his death.

This is far from the end of Al Qaeda, but make no mistake about it, it is a significant blow to the terrorist organization.

It can now be added to the long list of accomplishments the Trump organization can claim in what seems to be a never-ending war against terrorism.
