Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s refusal to give his stance on court-packing has left his team scrambling to defend the indefensible, the Washington Free Beacon reports.
Biden’s campaign aides and managers spent the weekend defending Biden’s continual refusal to answer whether or not he backs packing the court if he is elected. Deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield, for her part, claimed in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper that the question is a “distraction,” as Mediaite reported.
Supreme Court under threat
Following President Donald Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett, Democrats have accused Republicans of undermining the legitimacy of the Supreme Court by filling the seat in an election year and defying the alleged “dying wish” of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. But the real undermining of the Supreme Court will come at the hands of the Democratic Party.
Back in 2019, then-Democratic presidential primary candidate Kamala Harris said she was “absolutely” open to expanding the number of seats on the Supreme Court, Fox News reported.
But Harris dodged the question during the vice presidential debate, Fox noted, knowing that taking such a radical position on national television could do irreparable damage.
According to Biden himself, voters “don’t deserve” to know his stance, as Fox reported separately.
Biden and Harris’ refusal to answer the question is a clear indication to many that Democrats cannot be trusted and will pack the court if they are given the opportunity.
Democrats must be voted out
The only thing that matters to the leaders of the Democratic Party is consolidating power and advancing their agenda. Because a majority conservative Supreme Court would stand in the way of accomplishing those goals, they believe it must be dismantled.
Indeed, Democrats are trying to deceive the American people while also lecturing about the president “ramming” Barrett through a legitimate constitutional process.
For the radical left that controls the Democratic Party, there are no standards, there are no norms — only goals that must be accomplished by any means necessary.
Voters who are concerned about the Democrats’ plan to dramatically transform America’s third branch of government should know that Biden will not protect the Supreme Court — and should vote accordingly.
Such ideologically-motivated individuals simply should not hold power.
