The writing is on the wall: Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will be almost certainly be replaced by vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) at the earliest opportunity.
Many say that former Vice President Biden has been on the decline, and talking heads on both sides of the political aisle have been speculating about the future should Biden and Harris win the election. As the campaign season drones on, rumors that Harris will take over for Biden are gaining steam.
In short, voting for Biden may really be voting for Harris to lead the nation for the next four years.
Perhaps the greatest tell of the growing feeling that Biden is a placeholder comes courtesy of NFL announcers Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.
According to Breitbart, Buck quipped during a flyover at an NFL game, “That’s your hard-earned money and your tax dollars at work. That stuff ain’t happening with Kamala-Biden ticket, I’ll tell you that right now.”
That off-the-cuff remark said in a setting far removed from politics demonstrates just how deep the consensus is on Biden. Many Americans aren’t thinking about a Biden–Harris ticket, they are thinking about a Harris–Biden ticket.
President Donald Trump has also intensified attacks on Harris, warning Americans earlier this month about a future with a far-left politician at the helm, as the Associated Press reported.
Radical future for America
In case anyone is still on the fence whether Democrats will force Biden out if he wins the election, look no further than the 25th Amendment. Earlier this month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) introduced legislation that would establish a committee with the ability to remove the president if he is mentally or physically incapable, as the New York Post reported.
While many assumed the purpose of such legislation would be used against Trump, that view is shortsighted. Even Pelosi admitted the legislation was not about Trump, according to Breitbart.
If Biden wins the election and is indeed removed in favor of Harris, then Americans will be in for some serious and radical upheaval.
In an opinion piece for Fox News, Republican Newt Gingrich explained Harris’ radical tendencies:
Harris, despite being a former prosecutor, has been incredibly supportive of efforts to defund police departments; to elect radical, pro-criminal, anti-police prosecutors who simply refuse to prosecute criminals; and to sow chaos in American cities.
Indeed, it seems the chaos that Americans have had to endure for the last five months will only worsen under a President Harris. One can only hope Americans choose the other option when casting their ballots this November.
