Report reveals that Biden team has ‘abandoned’ use of Oval Office for events due to lack of teleprompters

It has become painfully obvious to many observers that President Joe Biden struggles even more than usual to fully articulate his thoughts when he speaks off-the-cuff and without the aid of a teleprompter.

His White House aides and handlers are undoubtedly well-aware of that reality, as revealed by a new report which claimed that Biden no longer holds events in the Oval Office precisely because of the lack of teleprompters there, Fox News reported.

Instead, Biden’s team has increasingly made use of a nearby fake set equipped with easy-to-read teleprompters that can be arranged to resemble the Oval Office when such a backdrop is necessary.

Oval Office has been “largely abandoned” for speaking events

That revelation came near the end of a recent Politico article about the prospects of a potential rematch in 2024 between President Biden and former President Donald Trump, with the consensus being that both men wanted to face each other again but neither was willing to make the first move.

Following a lot of “will he or won’t he” chatter about both presidents from prognosticators and strategists, some of the concerns expressed privately about another Biden run by some Democrats were mentioned, and his struggles to speak clearly and precisely without the aid of a teleprompter was included.

“And the White House has largely abandoned using the Oval Office for press events in part because it can’t be permanently equipped with a teleprompter,” Politico reported.

The outlet added, “Biden aides prefer the fake White House stage built in the Old Executive Office Building next door for events, sacrificing some of the power of the historic backdrop in favor of an otherwise sterile room that was outfitted with an easily read teleprompter screen.”

Biden struggles with and without a teleprompter

That “fake White House stage” has long been a source of online mockery for the Biden White House, the New York Post reported in passing along the Oval Office teleprompter news buried by Politico.

Biden’s team has been accused of trying to deceive the American people with its false Oval Office that has also been likened to a “game show set.”

The White House has, of course, defended its use of the fake set even though, at least until now, no legitimate or believable reason for it had ever really been offered.

Furthermore, the Post noted that Biden often struggles to stay on script or pronounce words correctly even with a teleprompter right in front of him, and sometimes appears to transpose or substitute different words in comparison to what he was supposed to say.

As for how a 2024 re-election run for Biden might go, he may try to emulate what worked for him in 2020 when he largely campaigned from a studio constructed inside his Delaware home, only this time he will be safely hidden away in a fake Oval Office set next door to the actual White House where a president is supposed to be.
