We should be used to it by now, but watching President Joe Biden’s extremely limited press conference appearances continue to be as cringeworthy and uninspiring as ever.
That was evidenced once again, according to The Daily Wire, as the U.S. president manned the podium for a press conference in Rome, Italy, where he reminded the world once again that his handlers are in total control of virtually everything he says, as he admitted that he was “told” that he should call on the Associated Press first.
The presser happened shortly after the end of the G20 conference, where Biden didn’t exactly impress with his so-called leadership skills.
What did he say?
As he does when he’s stateside, Biden opened the press conference by admitting that he uses a cheat sheet, which typically lists the reporters and media outlets he’s apparently only allowed to speak with, which is a remarkable contrast to how former President Donald Trump handled such events.
“And now I’m happy to take some questions. And I’m told I should start with AP, Zeke Miller,” Biden said. “Zeke, you have a question?”
Vide of the awkward moment quickly went viral across social media, and plenty of users not only criticized Biden’s admission, but expressed concern over the fact that the United States is being led by a man who apparently doesn’t even have the power to lead a press conference without a script in hand.

As The Daily Wire noted, while it’s not uncommon for presidents to offer the first questions to wire services like the AP, it’s extremely uncommon, if not unheard of, for a president to use a cheat sheet and announce it to the entire room.
It gets worse
After taking the AP reporter’s question, the president continued down his script, saying, “Next question was from Jeff Mason — for Jeff Mason of Reuters.”
Biden would go on to call on every major media outlet that wasn’t Fox News, and wrapped up the ordeal inside of 30 minutes, which, again, contrasts pressers held by his predecessor, as Trump would often go for over an hour and literally call on every reporter in the room, left-leaning, right-leaning, and everything in between.
As the New York Post reported earlier this year, Biden once held a press conference with a cheat sheet that included the profile pictures of the corresponding reporters.
One can only imagine how the world now views the United States with a so-called leader like Biden, who continues to show obvious signs of cognitive decline.
