Biden admin will tackle major guns rights issue with ‘ghost gun’ announcement

Surprisingly, it has taken the Biden administration longer than many thought to take aim at gun rights issues, but according to The Daily Wire, President Joe Biden is expected to do that in a big announcement this week.

Desperate for any kind of win for his base, Biden is expected to announce a crackdown on so-called “ghost guns,” which the administration claims have been appearing at an increasing number of crime scenes. The guns are privately manufactured and most do not have a serial number on the receiver.

David Hogg, a radical, extreme anti-gun leftist, will be in attendance for the announcement, along with Biden’s latest nominee to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF), Steve Dettelbach.

“The Biden administration will come out with its long-awaited ghost gun rule — aimed at reining in privately made firearms without serial numbers that are increasingly cropping up at crime scenes — as soon as Monday,” the Associated Press reports.

What’s happening?

Hogg confirmed that the president is set to take action on Monday, as he tweeted to his followers that he’ll be at the White House on Monday alongside the president.

“I will be at the White House on Monday for an announcement from the president of the United States on what actions are being taken to reduce gun violence,” Hogg tweeted.

He added: “Many in the movement including myself have been working on this for months. Looking to finally seeing the results.”

At the core of the expected announcement will be a new rule that “would modernize the definition of ‘frame or receiver’ and help close a regulatory loophole associated with the un-serialized privately made firearms.” The Biden administration has claimed that “ghost guns” are increasingly being recovered at crime scenes.

The White House failed to acknowledge the true source of the vast majority of “gun violence,” which is a result of unchecked, inner-city gang wars and activities that are conveniently overlooked by the Democratic Party.

“Epidemic of gun violence”

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland parroted the party’s overused “commonsense gun laws” drivel in a statement announcing the Biden administration’s intentions.

“We are committed to taking commonsense steps to address the epidemic of gun violence that takes the lives of too many people in our communities,” he said. “This proposed rule would help keep guns out of the wrong hands and make it easier for law enforcement to trace guns used to commit violent crimes, while protecting the rights of law-abiding Americans.”

Even if the Biden administration makes the rule change regarding ghost guns, it will likely make little to no difference in gun crime rates, as criminals who obtain all manner of firearms on the streets will continue to do so in every soft-on-crime Dem-led U.S. city.
