Beto O’Rourke is trying to profit off the mass shootings in Texas.
On Sunday, Beto O’Rourke and his presidential campaign released a t-shirt referencing the mass shootings that happened over the past week. The shirts cost $30 to purchase, and they have the words “This is f*cked up” written across them – which is a reference to Beto O’Rourke’s own words after he first learned about the shootings.
Seven victims from the Odessa and Midland shootings haven’t even been buried yet – and already, O’Rourke is trying to use their tragedy as a form of advertising for himself. But thankfully, the whole marketing strategy seems to be backfiring, as Republicans are rightly taking a stand against his clearly inappropriate behavior.
However, O’Rourke keeps pushing his nasty agenda by using his vulgar slogan to push gun confiscation policies.
During an appearance on MSNBC on Sunday, O’Rourke said:
“Let’s be clear with our fellow Americans. No place for an AK-47 or an AR-15 on the streets of our communities…”
O’Rourke later clarified his statement.
“I want to be really clear that that’s exactly what we are going to do,” he said. If you own an AK-47 or AR-15, “you’ll have to sell them to the government.”
This isn’t the first time O’Rourke has been in hot water over his campaign decisions. One time O’Rourke literally KICKED OUT a Breitbart reporter from one of his campaign events because he said he was “entitled to abuse members of the press”. Imagine if Trump did something like that?
O’Rourke’s behavior is simply monstrous. There’s no way to rationalize the selfish ways he has used shooting victims as pawns for his own political agenda.
There is clearly a double standard here. If a Republican presidential candidate was EVER caught doing the things he’s done, they would’ve been forced to drop months ago.
This guy doesn’t belong anywhere near the White House. End of story.
