During a recent episode of “The View,” soon-to-be-ex-Congressman Sean Duffy made an appearance.
While grilling Duffy on the environment, co-host Joy Behar stated she would quit her job if she thought it would help solve issues related to climate change.
Rep. Duffy (R-WI) was on the show to discuss why he is leaving Congress later this month.
Duffy is married to former “View” co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy. The two are about to add another child to their family, but they recently found out the baby has heart problems and may have “developmental issues.”
Rather than put the onus of raising a special needs child on his wife, the congressman is leaving office to help raise his family.
Instead of diving deeper into that story, however, Behar went off-topic and tried to put Duffy on the spot regarding Trump and climate change.
A Little Pushback
When Behar asked Duffy about the environment and Trump’s work in rolling back regulations, Duffy tried to shut her down by stating, “The regulations that you want to implement isn’t going to cost you your job.”
Behar responded, “I would gladly give up my job if I could have a magic wand to make it all go back to what it was.”
First off, we know Behar is not going to lose her job, so she can pretty much promise anything she wants. Furthermore, even if she did lose her job, she has a net worth of approximately $12 million, so she does not need to work.
The problem tens of thousands of Americans, if not hundreds of thousands, will face if the fossil fuel industry is shut down is they WILL lose their job and they are NOT worth $12 million.
Behar, like most Democrats, lives in a fantasy world where the entire workforce can be retrained (or even wants to be retrained).
Democrats and liberals, however, as we all know, really don’t care about the everyday man. They are just worried about kicking Trump out of office and reclaiming the power they believe is rightfully theirs.
