A rare video of the first family boarding Air Force One to go to Mar-A-Lago for the weekend confirms how much President Donald Trump’s son Barron has grown over the last few months.
As the Trumps walked across the tarmac to get on the plane, Barron appears to now be several inches taller than his father, who is also tall at six-feet-two inches. First Lady Melania is also tall at five-feet-eleven inches.
U.S. President Donald Trump departed the White House, Friday, January 17, with first lady Melania Trump and son Barron.

Barron is 13-years-old now, and has grown considerably since his dad took office in 2017, just about three years ago, when he was only 10 and was quite a bit shorter than both of his parents.
His brother Eric Trump is also taller than his dad at six feet four inches.
Barron looking comfortable
The family seemed comfortable together, with Dad touching Barron’s arm affectionately right before they headed up the steps.
Barron joined his parents in waving to the crowd as they boarded the plane, and looked more comfortable and confident than he has in previous appearances.
Strict White House requirements say that minor children of the president cannot be photographed or videotaped unless they are appearing with their parents, so there have not been all that many pictures of Barron during his father’s first term.
Family time as trial looms
The family will be spending the long Martin Luther King Jr. weekend together in Mar-A-Lago just before the Senate impeachment trial begins on Tuesday.
I wonder how much Barron knows about his father’s impeachment and what he thinks of it all. Being a president’s kid can’t be easy, especially when your dad has as many virulent, over-the-top haters as Trump does.
Let’s hope Barron also possesses whatever strength of character is enabling the President and First Lady to handle the criticism so well.
Maybe his older brothers and sisters, who are also showing abundant grace under pressure, have given him a few pointers as well.
