Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) just got a slap across the face in the form of a letter sent to him by Attorney General Bill Barr’s Department of Justice (DOJ).
After Nadler accused Barr of being in cahoots with Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, regarding Joe and Hunter Biden’s Ukraine activities, Barr put him on notice that anything to do with Ukraine will now be going through two newly designated U.S. attorneys, the Daily Caller reported.
Barr strikes back
On Feb. 10, Nadler sent a letter to Barr putting him on notice that the House Oversight Committee was going to look into the “intake process” of alleged information that Rudy Giuliani had on Joe Biden.
Nadler’s letter not only made it clear he wanted to know every bit of information that came in, but the tone of the letter made it apparent that Nadler thought Barr was being Trump’s lapdog.
Barr, to this point, has not had direct contact with Giuliani on this matter and does not appear to want to get anywhere near him. In fact, Barr has already stated publicly that any information coming from Giuliani and his Ukraine sources would need to be thoroughly vetted before even being considered.
To create another level of separation between Barr and anything related to Ukraine, the Daily Caller is now reporting that Barr has assigned two current U.S. attorneys to the matter.
Now, all matters related to Ukraine will go through Scott Brady, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and Richard Donoghue, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. Nadler has been informed of such via a letter from Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd.

Time to move on
The implication from Nadler — and the entire Democratic Party for that matter — is that Barr is Trump’s lapdog, and it needs to stop.
Barr has done an exceptional job thus far. The only real gripe against Barr is that he has yet to indict anyone from the Obama administration. That, however, actually proves Barr’s independence from Trump more than anything else.
We all know Trump wants someone to pay for what was done to him during the 2016 election, and Trump was reportedly unhappy with he heard former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was let off scot-free. If Barr was truly doing what Democrats are accusing him of, McCabe would already be indicted and an investigation into Joe Biden would have already been launched.
The fact is that Barr’s latest actions have him being criticized by the right, not celebrated. Nadler should stop playing games and just allow this man to do his job.
