As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) doubles down on her commitment to destroy President Donald Trump, the rhetoric against the longtime San Fransisco Democrat keeps building.
Case in point, a banner was spotted flying over San Francisco this week reading: “Pelosi for prison.” The banner was reportedly sponsored by Republican congressional candidate DeAnna Lorraine and amplifies a growing sentiment among her constituents.
Lorraine’s campaign has challenged Pelosi’s neglect of the district that she is supposed to represent. Speaking to the National File, Lorraine said: “Instead of caring for the people of San Francisco and advancing their issues on a national scale, she spends her time conducting asinine impeachments, petulant theatrical tantrums and ripping apart the President’s State of the Union Speech.
“It’s past time we start hitting her hard on her record of poor leadership and egregious crimes against America, and I look very much forward to retiring her in November,” she added of Pelosi.
The 12th congressional district that Pelosi represents is indeed in a rough state. President Trump himself highlighted the mismanagement of the homelessness crisis in San Francisco in a December tweet, writing:
Nancy Pelosi’s District in California has rapidly become one of the worst anywhere in the U.S. when it come to the homeless & crime. It has gotten so bad, so fast – she has lost total control and, along with her equally incompetent governor, Gavin Newsom, it is a very sad sight!

Indeed, Pelosi has been so busy trying to impeach the president that she has allowed a crisis to develop in her district. Of course, whether that’s deserving of prison time is up in the air.
But while Pelosi could, at worst, expect to get voted out due to the shocking neglect of her district, she has a more serious problem on her hands.
According to The Washington Times, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has filed a complaint with the House Ethics Committee calling for a criminal referral against Pelosi for ripping up President Trump’s State of the Union address.
“The law does not allow the speaker of the House to destroy the records of the House, and the rules of the House do not permit some little temper tantrum just because you don’t like what the president of the United States says,” Gaetz said.
Destruction of government records could at worst mean prison time for Pelosi, although it’s a very long shot.
Voting Pelosi out of office would be the best way to punish her for her actions, and California GOP is hard at work to make it happen.
