Alec Baldwin is apparently taking his recurring role as Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live” a little too seriously.
In a Twitter post on Monday, the liberal actor announced that if he ran for president in 2020, “Beating Trump would be so easy.”
If I ran for President, would you vote for me?
I won’t ask you for any $.
And I promise I will win.
Beating Trump would be so easy.

Baldwin is one of the many liberals in Hollywood that thinks he has a right to tell Americans how to live their lives because he plays fantasy on the big screen (and, in his case, the little screen) for a living.
He has taken great pleasure in poking fun at President Donald Trump.
The hits had gotten so bad and become such a regular part of the SNL weekly skits that Trump lashed out at both the show and Baldwin.
Baldwin, in turn, after having portrayed Trump repeatedly as well as taking hits at him on his own, turned snowflake when Trump swung back.
After Trump slammed the SNL version of himself, Baldwin tweeted, “I wonder if a sitting President exhorting his followers that my role in a TV comedy qualifies me as an enemy of the people constitutes a threat to my safety and that of my family?”
If he is worried about that, he surely is not ready for what will happen to him if he tries to enter the presidential race.
Americans are clearly getting fed up with Hollywood celebrities preaching to them about their political ideology.
As far as Hollywood is concerned, conservatives and conservative ideas are out of date.
Wealthy celebrities push for liberal policies while living in gated communities, far removed from any negative impacts of the policies they tout.
It is time for these celebrities to go back to what they do best — playing pretend — and leave the policy decisions up to the people who are actually impacted by them.
