Liberal extremism is trying to find a problem with virtually every holiday classic in both film and music.
With all the outrage over “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” liberals should remember both Dolly Parton and Lady Gaga put their stamp of approval on the holiday classic. Sorry social justice warriors, your brand of bullying is going the way of the dodo – farewell and good riddance!
According to some, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is a racist, demeaning tale.
That is the type of thing we are hearing these days from liberals.
Another holiday classic they are going after, and seem to do every Christmas season for the last decade, is “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”
The song came to fame when it was included in “Neptune’s Daughter.”
The song was performed twice in the movie with the roles being switched in each version.
In the first version, Red Skeleton is trying to get out the door when Betty Garret tries to convince him to stay…
In the second version, the one liberals have a problem with, has Ricardo Montalban trying to persuade Esther Williams to stay…
The #MeToo movement says it is a song about raping women, but two current stars, one a major liberal supporter, seem to disagree with that.
In 2004, Dolly Parton and Rod Steward did a duet using the version sung by Montalban and Williams.
More recently, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Lady Gaga did the Skeleton-Garrett version…
Apparently, both of these women, along with the more than a dozen female performers that have covered this song over the years, most of them liberals, disagree with the #MeToo movement.
Always Finding a Problem
If you look hard enough, you can find a problem with just about anything.
Liberals these days are trying to literally erase every aspect of our history and make everything about race or demeaning women.
They will dig as deep as needed to create that problem to gain a few headlines.
Like I said… if you look hard enough, you can find issues in just about everything.
