Democrats will try to paint a picture that they’re just another hard-working American fighting against the rich and America’s elitists. The problem, however, is that their actions continually prove otherwise.

Take Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, for example. According to Fox News, after stumping for a number of Democratic candidates in Texas, she was spotted on a commercial flight not sitting in coach with the “regular folks,” but was seen enjoying complete luxury in a first-class seat with extra legroom and fine dining to boot. 

Though her face was largely covered by a mask, one person on the flight managed to identify her as she basked in the elite treatment of the first-class airline experience aboard flight AA1405 on a Boeing 737-800 from Austin to John F. Kennedy International Airport.

While on the surface this wouldn’t seem like a newsworthy story, it truly is given that she continually tries to present herself as someone equal to the everyday, struggling American. It’s quite clear at this point that she prefers the finer things in life.

Coach is for commoners

For someone who has based her career on fighting the billionaire class and insisting that “first-class” shouldn’t even exist, it appears as though AOC doesn’t care to mingle with the peasants during her important trips.

“During the three-hour journey, AOC nestled into 21-inch wide seats with an extra 7 inches of legroom that coach passengers didn’t enjoy. Economy passengers had to settle for snacks and non-alcohol beverages, while first class enjoyed full dinner service,” the Fox News report noted.

One person who knew AOC in her early political days noted that the New York progressive Democrat has radically changed.

“This is definitely different,” said the unnamed person. “There has definitely been a shift in her desires to enjoy the finer things in life.”

Republicans pounce

GOP Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) took a shot at AOC’s upgraded lifestyle, while the people in New York who she claims to represent continue to struggle with daily expenses thanks in part to her radical leftist policies.

“She lives above a Whole Foods and drives a Tesla, so she probably feels more at home up front,” Malliotakis said, adding that Ocasio-Cortez lives “a luxury lifestyle while pushing radical policies that would force her constituents to live in squalor.”

This is just another example of radical progressive Democrats living a life of luxury behind the scenes that they claim to be against when talking to their constituents.
