Witnesses have revealed that they have been called to testify before a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, in relation to a case that District Attorney Fani Willis (D) is expected to bring against former President Donald Trump.
In fact, according to a report from CBS News, the grand jury proceedings are expected to take place this week, which means that another indictment of Trump could be imminent.
Trump is already facing three criminal indictments.
The first indictment is the New York one, in which Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) has accused Trump of wrongdoing in relation to the infamous "hush money" payment that was allegedly made to Stormy Daniels. The second indictment is the Florida one, in which special counsel Jack Smith has accused Trump of mishandling classified documents. And, the third indictment is the Washington, D.C. one, in which Smith has accused Trump of wrongdoing in relation to the Capitol protests of Jan. 6, 2021.
The Georgia indictment, according to CBS, is expected to be in regard to Trump's so-called "attempts to overturn President Joe Biden's 2020 electoral victory in Georgia."
This, of course, is a highly partisan reading of the events. But, what else would one expect from CBS?
Here's how Trump sees the situation:
The only Election Interference that took place in Fulton County, Georgia, was done by those that Rigged and Stole the Election, not by me, who simply complained that the Election was Rigged and Stolen. We have Massive and Conclusive Proof, if the Grand Jury would like to see it. Unfortunately, the publicity-seeking D.A. isn’t interested in Justice, or this evidence. Also, as in Manhattan, the corrupt DOJ is pushing hard trying to keep Biden in Office. The whole system is dishonest and broken!
"The publicity-seeking D.A.," referred to by Trump, is Willis.
Trump has repeatedly argued that Willis is just another Democratic operative - like Bragg and like Smith - who has been hired to essentially run 2024 election interference for the Biden campaign.
On Monday, Willis is expected to begin presenting evidence to the grand jury.
Her presentation is expected to conclude on Tuesday.
The whole point of a grand jury is to determine whether the prosecution has sufficient evidence to charge Trump with a crime, or with crimes.
Given the political makeup of Fulton County, Georgia, one can already guess that the answer is going to be in the affirmative.
So, it really does appear to be only a matter of days now before Trump gets indicted for the fourth time.
