Fans of Jeopardy! were stunned when they first heard host Alex Trebek had pancreatic cancer.
Many rejoiced as Trebek returned to the show after his first round of chemotherapy, but Trebek recently informed fans that his numbers have slipped and he needs to undergo a second round of treatment, according to the Daily Caller.

Trebek first announced he had pancreatic cancer to his fans in March.
Even though he had received the tragic diagnosis, his attitude was extremely positive, actually joking that he had three years left on his television contract.
After undergoing a full course of treatments, Trebek’s numbers were shockingly “normal,” so the chemo was ended and he started immunotherapy.
Unfortunately, cancer seems to have taken hold of Trebek again and he is more or less back to square one.
Earlier this week, Trebek announced to his fans the cancer was back and he had to restart chemo.
“I lost about 12 pounds in a week. And my numbers went sky high, much higher than they were when I was first diagnosed,” he said. “So the doctors decided that I have to undergo chemo again and that’s what I’m doing.”
While the news is obviously devastating, Trebek is trying to keep his head up. The support he has received from fans has been overwhelming and has definitely helped him get through this very tough time.
Many of Trebek’s fans look at him as a member of their own family because they have spent more than three decades with him in their living room five nights a week (Trebek has been the regular host of the show since 1984).
Even though Trebek is best known for Jeopardy!, he also has a significant amount of acting credits on his profile as well as hosting experience on numerous other game shows. He first broke into the industry in 1963 hosting Music Hop and his first TV acting credit dates back to 1987.
We wish you the best of luck in your treatments, Alex. Get well soon!
