The death of a loved one is never easy.
Actress Tara Reid, famous for her roles in “American Pie” and “Sharknado,” shared her pain with fans over the loss of her mother, Donna Reid.
Reid first made her mother’s health struggles public this summer.
In August, she said her mother had “been extremely sick,” and had just gotten “out of the ICU.”
This has been a particularly trying time for Reid, as her father had passed shortly before her mother became ill.
Those health problems came to a head over the last couple of weeks. Reid’s mother finally passed away on Saturday.
In her sentiments, Reid also shared a picture of her parents on their wedding day on Instagram.
“Today has been one of the most heartbreaking days of my life. My mother Donna Reid just passed away. My heart breaks – who am I gonna call everyday, what do I do? 2 yrs ago I lost my father and I never felt such a pain. Now I just lost my mom. But the one thing I know is they are together again. Mom & Dad, I love you! RIP, your baby girl Tara,” she captioned the photo.

Reid first broke onto the Hollywood scene in 1987, but it was not until she played Vicky in “American Pie” that her star truly started to shine.
That role opened up the door to a rush of opportunities, most recently playing April Wexler in the “Sharknado” franchise.
In addition to film, Reid has a rather significant list of TV credits, including “Scrubs” and several appearances on celebrity episodes of reality TV shows, such as “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Marriage Boot Camp.”
Just a week ago, Reid found herself in the headlines for having been kicked off a Delta flight.
According to reports, Reid caused a scene over being given a wrong seat and not getting a pillow.
Eventually, she was removed from the LAX to NYC flight for causing a “disturbance” on the flight.
When the “incident” was reported by TMZ, Reid took exception and made a rather long post on Instagram to tell her side of the story…

Reid insisted the story on TMZ was packed with inaccurate information.
According to Reid, the entire incident was over her dog and her refusal to put the dog in an overhead bin.
Reid refused, at which point the flight attendant recommended she put the dog in the belly of the plane, which she refused again.
After leaving the plane, Reid stated she was able to get a flight home on a “pet-friendly” airline without incident.
