Nancy Pelosi pretends there is no pressing need to secure the border. Yet she offers no explanation for the number of undocumented persons who cross and re-cross the border illegally, again and again.
In the latest example, a five-times deported man has been charged in the death of a four-month-old baby in Tennessee.
Beaten to death
The man, a Honduran national identified by local police as Jose Agurcia-Avila, allegedly “punched the child in the head multiple times” when he found out the child was not his son.
The child, Alexander Lizondro-Chacon, stopped breathing, and the mother called 911 on April 12. He was pronounced dead upon arriving at the hospital.
Local officials ruled the death a homicide, and the man has been charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of aggravated child abuse and first-degree murder in perpetration of aggravated child neglect.
5 Times Deported
Our immigration system is currently fatally flawed. One of the biggest problems is that the authorities get caught up in this rinse, wash, repeat cycle.
They catch illegal immigrants, they give them a hearing date, release them, and never see them again.
In this case, ICE used biometrics to identify the suspect’s real name: Carlos Zuniga-Aviles. He had been deported from this country five times yet still managed to come back, ICE said.
ICE confirmed that they have filed an immigration detainer on Zuniga-Aviles.
Mainstream Media Coverup
The Washington Post was among the first outlets to cover the story.
However, the paper downplayed the suspect’s immigration status and used this headline: ‘Police: Man killed baby after learning he wasn’t the father.”
Fox13 also reported the story, with the headline: ‘Baby dies after being beaten by Memphis man who learned he was not the child’s father, police say.’ The Fox story does not even mention that the man was an illegal immigrant.
