After the Justice Department made a stunning announcement about the Russian investigation, both sides are claiming victory.
On Friday, the Justice Department announced the indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers for hacking Democrat party computers as well as Hillary Clinton’s campaign computers.
When the announcement was made, Democrats immediately claimed victory, but it was not justified.
They also demanded Trump cancel his upcoming summit with Putin this week, but the White House has declined to do so.
Democrat mouthpiece Nancy Pelosi stated, “President Trump must demand and secure a real, concrete, and comprehensive agreement that the Russians will cease their ongoing attacks on our democracy.”
For the Democrats, this means they were right in the Russian meddling of the election.
However, the Justice Department continues to insist the Russian meddling did not affect the outcome in any way.
Somehow, Democrats continue to think this still implicates Trump, but it does not.
On the other hand, Republicans are also claiming this to be a victory… and they are right.
First and foremost, nowhere in the indictment does it say anything about Trump working with the Russians to hack the election.
Whatever was done was done of their own volition.
Trump attorney Rudolph Giuliani stated, “The Russians are nailed. No Americans are involved.”
“Time for Mueller to end this pursuit of the President and say President Trump is completely innocent,” he added.
It is also time for Democrats to get off their high and mighty pedestal about this.
The fact of the matter is the United States, under Obama and several other presidents, has done more than its fair share of international election meddling.
This is not excusing the Russians but rather pointing out it is business as usual for any major power.
It has already been proven by numerous sources our elections are under attack virtually every time, but nothing has ever come of it as they were never able to impact voter numbers.
The ONLY reason this is such a big deal is because the golden girl was taken out by non-establishment candidate.
Giuliani hit the nail on the head on this one, because it is definitely time for Mueller to wrap this thing up.
